I was in melbourne last weeknd (with silverballfever) and this is what we found;

Airport - at international arrivals - Simpsons Pinball Party, South Park, Addams Family. $2 for 3 balls. All 3 had issues.
Casino - nothing and all the videogames/redemption machines/children drove me crazy
St Kilda - Apartment 23 had a Sopranos in good nick (though a little dirty). Prince of Wales had a Family Guy but didnt get time to play it. Pub at the end of Akland St had a Getaway in very good nick (though replay almost 200k)

The CFTBL is located opposite Zingara's - the Expresso coffee place (look out for the Italians having a smoko outside.

That's great, literally 10 min walk from me.

There's a TOTAN & TOM down the road though.
Down the road?

By the way, there's a Getaway (High Speed 2) at a pizza place called Mymates Pizza, 402 Station St, Thornbury.

Cafe Lamour - bring your poker face as these are out the back.

As for Getaway, there's one on Gilbert Street, Reservoir - haven't played one since "93".

Oh yeah, Cafe L'amour - I know it.  Will check it out, I've never played TOTAN.

Went to check out the CFTBL this morning, accidentally went to Zingara's first.  The woman behind the counter had a "you must be joking" expression on her face when I asked if there was a pinball machine around.  I like the cafe across the road where the machine is, plenty of space and a nice atmosphere with all those old Italian guys hanging around. They've even got a stool for you to sit on while you play.  Better than the pizza shop where the Getaway is - cramped, hot and the smell of average pizza.

I feel quite lucky to have 2 good games within walking distance from my house.  Thanks for your help Prince.

No probs.
Check out The Peacock Hotel in Northcote first - Lord of the Rings should be gone by now, replaced with a TOTAN.
Let me know.

Back in the 70s and 80s I lived in Melbourne there was a lot of Coffe shops with the odd pool table and thoes Bingo pinballs (A lot of Bingo Pinballs) I went to a part Amusment/coffe shop called Charleys in Drrimut rd Sunshine. There I played (Firepower, Playboy, Lost World, Stellar Wars, Flash and a Bally Balck Jack. Thats where I lost a lot of 20c bits. I dont no if he is still there but if he is he will have sum pinballs in his shop....

LOTR is still at the Peacock Inn, High st, Northcote.

The Cue Bar in Fitzroy has closed down.

The Old Bar in Johnston st, Fitzroy has Gilligan's Island and Cueball Wizard.

The Perseverence Hotel in Brunswick st, Fitzroy has a Stern Grand Prix.

And there's an old Bally Star Trek in Polyester Records, also on Brunswick St.

Do you know of any more Pins in the Inner North?

If you like your Stern pinballs check out these ones:

The Quarry (Lygon St, Brunswick) – Batman – the Dark Knight).
Courthouse (Sydney Rd, Coburg) – Csi.
Park Hotel (Nicholson St, Abbotsford) – The Simpsons Pinball Party.

Ps – Back on the leader board on the CFTBL – Super Jackpot does that for ya.
