eBay KISS in NSW
« on: January 24, 2010, 11:15:28 PM »

Heads Up !

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Kiss-Pinball-Machine_W0QQitemZ280455902796QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_CoinOp?hash=item414c79764c

Might "fly under the radar".

Needs a decent backglass, but I would classify this as a working project - Heaps of potential. Will be interesting to see the final figure.

I'm guessing $3000 - $3500

the location is a bit tricky - it is actually closer to Brisbane (3hrs) than Sydney (10 hrs)

So it might be interesting for one of our QLD members

dont you love the questions about the coin mechs?
why would you even bother asking if it comes with the coin mechs that are worth around $10 each.

Now that i know that it has the coin mechs in it i will make my $2000 bid but if the coin mechs were not included i would only bid $1500.
Just like the person who comes around to inspect a car and Kicks the tyers.

I think the seller would be quite happy at the moment. $2324.01 with 6 and half days to go.

and don't you love the people who ask for a buy it now price? "DO YOU HAVE A BUY IT NOW PRICE IN MIND , I CAN PICK UP AND PAY CASH IN HAND ......THANKS" and "i am interested in purchasing the kiss pinball whats your final asking price & where is lennox head next to i am located in revesby new south wales you can email me on **********@yahoo.com.au"

Lets face it if you have the tallent & or connections and won this pin for $3.5k to $4k and spent $1 or 2K on doing this pin up to show room condition you would have no problems selling it for $10k + as we have seen in the the recent past.

The last kiss pinball  on ebay that i saw was fully restored and was up for sale for $10k+ (not to long ago). a lot of us said or thought "your dreamin pal" (including me). But if you remember it sold quite fast and a lot of us sat there with our jaws on the ground eating humble pie.
So if you want to make a good profit on a pin without waiting a year or 2 then this is the pin you should buy.

I will be watching the bids go up and up in the last 10 minutes to a stupid price then shake my head thinking ' what a stupid price to pay for a pin'

my bet is it will reach the the $3.5 to $4.5k mark with out a doubt.

I was about to ask "if" it had in fact sold for $10,000.

I agree - if it can be picked up cheap, with a bit of work it could be restored into a really nice example of a KISS

Yep - overlay KISS did go for BIG $$$!! The buyer was also looking to purchase ANOTHER as well as many other coin op stuff. But.... money is no object to a buyer like this and the value of anything is irrelevant as the pockets are deeper than the ocean.

Buyer is only interested in minty games.. if they want it, then they can make an offer that would be impossible to refuse and are prepared to do so as has been seen with the overlay KISS.

So yes, its possible that another could be sold at such a price.. wont be this one though, and i may be wrong here, but i did hear that the 2nd KISS was found and bought.

Question now is... do they want 3?

that kiss machine tonight on ebay was a "as is" by the looks of it.
I saw one sell in QLD 3 months ago in better condition for $1200 and the owner couldnt give it away even though the cabinet and playfield/backglass were excellent.  *%*

go figure. I think someone paid far too much personally. but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.   !@#

Now where is that thread were pricing on classic machines was discussed  %$%

That is "too much" for an "as is" game. Especially in QLD. Considering a Haunted House sold for under $2500 on my front doorstep, I'm VERY surprised this KISS (with all its flaws) sold for just under $5000.

Guess one of mine is jumping up the resto Q   #@#
