PINBALL 2000 MONITORS HELP PLS ???
« on: February 04, 2010, 08:47:19 PM »
Hi, a quick question.

I have a friend who has a Revenge from Mars he has just inherited and the video screen/monitor does not work/ is dead. It appears to be a factory installed Samsung monitor.

Have any of you had any experience with the replacement of these monitors or any advice re repairs to them if possible.?

Any advice would be appreciated.

cheers, Caveman  ^^^

Let's establish some definitions:

MONITOR = a complete display device consisting of a picture tube and the electronics that drives it.

CHASSIS = the electronics that connect to, and drive a picture tube.

TUBE (PICTURE TUBE) = the glass envelope (which is actually an electron valve) that displays the picture.

It sounds like you have an issue with your Chassis Brett....and yes, Joey is the man to see.

yes joey, but its easy/cheap to look for and replace bulgy caps, and resolder dry joints. Do easy stuff then get a pro.
