What are the chances
« on: March 07, 2010, 10:41:27 PM »

Hi All,
I thought i would share this unbelievable story.
I was on my way down the south coast & am always looking for hidden treasures (Pinballs)
I was driving past a surf shop in Nowra on Friday & out of the corner of my eye i thought I spotted a pinball machine. I didn't get a good look but thought i would call back in on Sunday to check it out & maybe offer the owner some cash. Well you don,t know until you try.
Anyway, all weekend i was thinking that i might be in luck.

So i"m heading back home on Sunday & i pulled into the car park next to the Shop. I was just about to get out of the car & the wife says, is that an alarm going off? The next thing i notice is smoke comming from the shop roof next to the surf shop.
Within minutes, flames were shooting out of the roof & the building was burning.  !!!
It was hard to believe this was all happening. I never did get to see the pinball in the surf shop & i will always wonder if it was a Hidden treasure. When i got home i thought to myself ..... what are the chances?   ^&^

Well lets all just say you were on some hard drugs at the time and there was no pinball in that shop it was all in your imagination or else what a tragic loss.....

Key word there is that you "thought I spotted a pinball".

I see pinballs everywhere because I'm always thinking about them !

If it was a pinball - look on the bright side - Maybe it was parted out and was only there for looks ?

Thanks guys,
That makes me feel a whole lot better, it wasn't a pinball just a display cabinet.
I told myself it was all a dream or should i say nightmare.  (((

i have also spied this machine and its right at the entrance i think it was a paragon or lost world ie the pictures on the side of cabinet was goldy yellow colour, i have often thought of offering them a price and i heard on the radio this afternoon and thought of the poor pinny thinking noooo! all that liberal spraying of water from the firies. i had friends previously ask but they said it wasnt for sale its the bosses

Thanks for the offer Braddo, but im sure everythings burnt down.
Im glad someone else has seen the machine prior to its destruction & its even better to know that it was not for sale. That has satisfied my curiosity & answered all my questions.
Now i can sleep at night.

Ahh fair enough i misunderstood. I thought the shop next door was burning and deterred you from having a look. If I had a shop front I'd have a classic pin in there for sure to create some interest and attraction, just gotta keep it out of the sun :D
