Poetry
« on: March 15, 2010, 09:53:59 PM »
Hi last year for my English class I had an assignment to write a poem.
like usual I left it to the last minute.  @.@
So I needed to do it at my dads, although I didn't know what to do the poem about  !@#
But then it hit me  @.@
PINBALL!What else.
so here it is:

Shooting the ball
Launching the ball
Hitting the ball
Fun, Fun, Fun

Ding, Dong, Bang, Crash Pinball,
Pinball, Crash, Bang, BOOM!
Jumping around Splatting and Clicking,
The balls in the machine just won't stop ticking.

Ding, Smash, Click, Dong, Crash
Pinball is the thing to do!
Bong, Bang, Blop free game
Shall we play again?

Thanks for reading!

This would be my pinball poem ( for my own play style)

I’m in the doghouse ,
So it’s Creature or Funhouse
Either one is grouse
I will probably play shithouse.

Ball leaves the lane
I am already in pain.
Drain Drain DRAIN.
My play is so lame

All good stuff!
Here's my first contribution in Limerick form:

A good friend of mine who's no dimwit
Had a pinny and wanted to pimp it
He persuaded some lass
To sit nude on the glass
But she stuck to the thing like a limpet

With her arse still glued to the glass
He managed to fix this odd farce
Using fulcum and lever
He prized off her beaver
And her screams were heard in Madras

That sounds about right .  The words chosen for the poem do remind you of a game.  Nice bit of work mildflame.

Sorry, but I have to say that has to be the absolutely worst limerick I have ever heard.  F-  %.%

Having dissed someones attempt, I suppose it only fair to venture my own...

There once was a man from Sylvania
Who came down with LOTR pin-mania
But the machines cost plenty
And his pockets were empty
So he sells figures to Tazmania

I think you boys had better read up on limericks.

They are meant to have a certain number of syllables per line, you know...
