I GOT A NEW FISH TALES FOR EASTER/I PAIDED THOUGH :(
« on: April 04, 2010, 11:09:35 AM »
Yep thats right I'd rather a new pinball than choclate!! picked her up last night and what potental she has, just needs a playfield strip and massive clean as she's dirty and the mylar removed which I also did with my WH20 so I'm up for the challenge. Gotta love bringing a machine back to life although my works no where near what sum of you guys do but all the same she will look pretty bloody good. I'll need to order the fish decals and what not but I'm wrapped ^^^. Plastics and ramps are excellent so no need to buy those.

Pictures to follow.

Peter

I'm surprised it took that long to collect.  I would have been back in a few hours!

Definately looking forward to the photos & vids!  Should come up a treat with Pete's work and definitely a bargain.

It still amazes me how people can let a machine get to that state.

Great stuff Mr Gorgar, looking forward to the vid.  She'll be sparkling in no time.

I agree with you EB.  LOTS of potential in this Fishy.  Bit of elbow grease, but worth it.  FT is an easy game to shop.  I know Pete will enjoy this game 100 times more knowing all the work he's done to bring it back to glory.

Well done G1. Nothing like getting a machine that needs a bit of work/cleaning etc. makes it a ton more fun to play when you put in a bit of effort to bring em up to scratch.

I seriously think that you never see a pins full potential play-wise until you pull some part of em apart and put em back together, even if it's a simple clean, re-rubber and bulb change (which about the limit of my capabilities).

Hi EB yeah she has the topper and works a treat-I'm really enjoying stripping this machine as with out a doubt I'm the 1st bloke after the factory to even change a bulb in this machine and thats why all the plastics are intact because no one has ever turned a screw on the playfield.
Spent a little bit of time cleaning today heres some pic's, I've started cleaning around the tackle box as in I've taken off the mylar and sticky goo and am cleaning all the metal work-checkout the globes up the top? are they factory original or what? dont worry this machine will come up a treat and I'll try and touch up the wear around the pop bumpers also.
