I won the auction.  I don't expect to get the machine.  Had to have a go.  He has previously listed it at $4k.

I only bought it because of the price and don't want it unless it is $300 which I doubt.  If there is a price negotiation does anyone want it?  If so P.M. me with what you want to pay and I will negotiate on your behalf.

You won the auction which is a binding agreement. I cannot see how the seller can negotiate ?

I now have a contract with the seller.  If the seller does not honor the contract I have to explore my options. I will let you know when and if the seller contacts me.

You can simply lodge a dispute if the contract (which the sale "is") is broken. This will be interesting.

If anyone here made such a huge mistake, an honest error, would you honor the sale?
I dont think its reasonable to pressure the guy, it wasnt a 3k pin anyway, but 300 is chicken feed.

I hadn't seen the post.  I was amazed it lasted for the time it did and had to look back a few times before I bought it.

You have to manually type in your price, then confirm the auction. You can "preview" the auction prior to listing the item.

Either the seller had a few too many, or didn't bother to check the details. When it comes to a $3000 item, I'd be triple checking. Definitely an "honest" mistake - But it may be one of those "divorce" auctions..

I'm still shaking my head..
