My First Pin - Bally Skateball
« on: April 21, 2010, 04:43:50 PM »
Took delivery of my first pin - Bally Skateball (Marco's previous possession).  What can I say .... it's been 25+ years since I touched a machine, and to now actually own one and not have to feed it shrapnel. $#$

Never played this one before, but from a few games last night it plays reasonably fast with good action.  Would like to say a BIG thank you to Marco in making this purchase 100% hassle-free.  Most helpful to a newbie owner - and that's one of the many reasons this kind of forum makes a big difference.  By beginning my search for pinball information a few months ago, it led me to this forum.  So .... also a big thank you also to the founders and ongoing administrators of this forum.

Used RTS to transport it, and was very satisfied with their service.

Great first pin mate! Now, as DDs said above, the next step is to make more room and get another one, that's how it is and there is no escaping. ^^^

Geez it looks nice Steve.. I miss it already !

I see you managed to capture my high score on the pic...  *)* *)* *)*

In all reality all this pin needs is the cab restored. If you can do that you will have a top condition SB...  ^^^

Good luck with it mate...

That looks a really good player, and the artwork is sweet.

It is a cross between Fathom and Flash - with the brighter artwork (lots of yellows). One of the best players of the era. I really enjoyed playing this machine.

Good looking machine. Great colours, drop targets and plenty of shot choices.
Congratulations on the purchase.
