Space Invaders II ( Leisure & Allied )
« on: June 06, 2010, 09:41:09 AM »
 Hi All,

Among other projects, I am currently attempting to restore a Space invaders II (Upright).
Does anyone have any knowledge or know a good technician that would be willing to repair board.
Screen graphics are present but out of focus & sound is not working. I dont think its too serious.

Any thoughts, information, comments or advise would be greatly appreciated.

 Thanks Paul

Check with Felix (Game Masters) or Joey at JOMAC.

The only person I know who fixes boards is steve at Infocus Electronics. I think Coin Play used to offer board repair as well. Both located in Vic.

+1, Joey was very helpful with a chassis replacement for my all-in-one

I am guessing you have already tried adjusting the focus knob on the monitor flyback transformer?
If not give that a go.
As for the sound, does SI2 have a separate sound board/amplifier?

Hi Boots,  I cant seem to find a focus adjustment, i have looked and it doesn't have the two knobs that are normally located at the base of the flyback. Not sure about the seperate amplifier. To be honest with u the monitors scare me to death..

Post a photo of the chassis, I might be able to help you locate the focus.
It would save a lot of messing around if all it is, is focus adjustment.
