CUSTOM TOPPER NEEDED FOR YOUR T2 TIMBO.

Buy a Terminator skull from Ebay, and place it on top of the Headbox as a custom topper, after making sure you place 2 x red LEDS into the eye sockets and have them wired into the GI circuit.

Now, that WITH the mirrors in the playfield area will look absolutely amazing. A mirror will look better than a standard or custom back panel, anyday of the week. (although wottos custom back panel does look bloody great as well.  ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

I was thinking this arvo if there was a way that you could use a piece of mirror there AND 'somehow' use those Terminator images on the mirror or JUST sitting off the mirror somehow with the image also facing the mirror ( back to back )  and on some slight angle so the image would also reflect for some depth - just a guess??

Tis true guys,

Topper is on the list, and also some sort of back panel rework...

Good thing i have a heap of stuff left on this playfield rebuild while i think of some solutions to the above.

Today was great, post arrived as I had a few jumpers made for PTales... totally NOT REQUIRED, but i thought they were cool, and they are warm...I got them in black and grey too...

pffft...Poser...

But this is the design...

Now for the cool stuff, playfield is starting to take shape - i had to put the flippers there for effect - still have to rebuild the assys...

Angle 1...

Two...

Stay tuned guys...

I'm missing my T2 now. I hate building a house. El timbo you have let me loose on that baby until I get mine back. At the least you gotta let see it in the flesh cuz it just looks so fine. I need more pictures please to keep the nostagia going. Great work mate. Jumper looks great too.
Still loving my Metallica Premium

Thanks for the kind words guys,

Not much of an exciting update - i'm nearing the business end of the build.

All 'through' playfield posts etc are back - and new rubber installed.

When i took this photo i didnt realise i caught the reflection of the backbox art too, COOL!...

All metal parts and assemblies have been degreased, tumbled and are ready to be rebuilt...

Coils were given new wrappers all round, and really makes each assembly 'POP'. Many cleaning agents will simply remove the black text from the sols, so new wrappers were a great solution after cleaning.

New vs Old...

Half way through rebuilding the underside components. I actually really enjoy this part of the process...just a few more to go...

Not long to go now with this one...just have to decide what to do next...I have a few people interested in a Bride of Pinbot, but i would also love to tackle High Speed...

Hope your enjoying the sloooooowww progress of late  #@#

Man that clear cot is awsome check out the terminators reflection beautiful.

Also the new coil wrapper is a great idea you never can clean a coil properly without killing the wrapper

Did you make those coil wrappers yourself?

Or, rather, the files to generate them?

Curious what's involved. I have some good flipper coil scans archived, they make reasonable prints so long as you replace them all (ie they don't perfectly match original, are close, but if you replace them all, you'd never know)

Are these stickers or normal paper?

Thanks for the kind words guys,

Lots of little things are being tied up now. Nothing really MAJOR to update - but thought i'd post some pics anyway.

This week saw the cabinet finished out - Standard upgrades like new style leg brackets installed, and just a few more things to go back. Transformer, cab loom, cab speaker etc...

Looking like a pinball machine now...

The outside with the translite back in (and cleaned)...

Assemblies were completely re-built/installed bar the flippers. They will be re-built this weekend, as Daniel (ddstoys) got me out of a bind with a couple of spare parts i was missing - THANKS MAN!

Underside coming together...

Got a good news call this afternoon from local platers...parts DONE and ready to collect...SHINY...

To help sort through the tumbling media, and speed the whole process up - dad fabricated this neat little tray.

Step one...

Step two...remove all OBVIOUS and easy to find parts from media, and pour the rest onto the tray...

Step three... Give the tray a shake for a few seconds to help media fall through...

Next up is this coin door. Its pretty tired at the moment, but should finish out nicely after its been blasted back to bare metal - and given a new lease on life...

I wish there was a bit more to update you guys on, but as you can see - there are mostly 'fiddly' bits left. Everything is coming together nicely, and hopefully it wont be too far away from completion!!

Have a great weekend guys - oh and new shop-out decals  #*#
