Judge Dredd Sweeeeeeeeet
« on: June 17, 2010, 05:04:40 PM »

Got a good score from our local Quakko paper last week.Judge Dread not working $1500 ono.Brought it over the phone and one of my mates pick it up and was quite shocked with the condition of it.No wear on playfield (miniuanl)just dirty, cabint good codition but normal fading, headbox for some reason has colour.Came with topper cracked but with all pisces, all manuals and goodies pack as well. @@*

Asked why not working ,stopped about two years ago as all the balls just keep shooting out,and the DMC only half works and wont start probley.

Replacing the battery fixed one problem and checked the trough assembly and found that at some stage the wires have come out of the plug so we just join them all together and wonder why the fues blows.New plug with wires going to correct position and all working.Display only working half and flashing and doing all sorts of strange stuff.Look at Controller board and see that there is half of a cement Resistor missing, change with know working board and machine works fine apart from some blown globes and split rubbers.

Happy with the machine as have a new playfield and ramps waitting for it but not required for this one.Can say, also had Morrie over giving me some free advice after he been threw my parts draw and slapping my machines around bit. %.% <.>

All up cost to fix so far $5 and will put a H/V kit threw the controller board from GPE for another $6 and if it works, all up it will be under $20. $#$ sweeeeet

Best deal for me so far, even if only a JD.

Good score - looks like it has a lot of potential at a very good price.

Try this video

Its well explained, it improves gameplay, only bugger is that the rom that comes with this mod defaults the game to Freeplay!!

+1 great mod, I added this to a JD for a mate, really worthwhile. Actually not really a mod as it was in the original design, but deleted for reliability reasons.
