Melted Flasher Cover
« on: June 24, 2010, 09:07:25 PM »
Been playing a few game on Lost in Space and notice something not right with the three flasher in the corner.Remove the glass and found a nice mess.

Checked the manual and someone put 906 instead of 555 globes.Checked all the rest and same thing.Lucky i found it now as i dont like my chances of finding replacement plastic set.

Plexi glass is easy to work with and turns out for flat great for pieces, and the dome mount hole can be done with a drill and exacto-knife.
I trace the shape needed using a sharpie...cut it out using a utility knife or exacto ...clean off the sharpie.  Using an old solder Iron you melt smooth the edges.

Very easy for clear plastics.

Have a new toy that should cut this out like a treat when i get it to work.Luck i only have to do two clear plastic.

Had the machine for about four years and only been playing it hard for the last couple of week.Forgot to turn the machine of last week and probably did the damage to the Flash covers then.

Leant a lesson that's for sure.(check and double check)
