Here is Mick1 checking out what are the problems with the Pro Football...Mick1 is the best pinball tech in Australia and is also one of the nicest guys you woud ever meet.

So hopefully Rob will take this new knowledge away and get the Pro Football up and running in no time  ^^^

Hi Guys,

Ok some good news and some bad news. after some mind blowing tuition from Mick b last night at rollerballs' we have some great progress..

The score reel now resets!!! yeeehhhhaaaa. The bad news is that that when i switch on the machine, the motor keeps running and running.... Im hope its just that the switches on the score reel need adjusting. I also tested with out the headbox connected and this too kept the motor running. Is this a valid test? Does it mean it might be something stuck under the playfield instead of the reel?

Can someone please confirm with me what the switch positions should be on numbers 1 - 8, 9 and zero again?

So close i can smell it!!

ouch i think i can see another big issue... Mick said that the switches should be...

positions 1 to 8 = all switches open except middle

position 9 = all switches closed except one closest to the steel bracket

zero position = all switches open except one closest to steel bracket...

If the above is correct, i need to pull apart the switch stack and turn the switches around as the long blade is on the wrong side... ouch

Well Rob
Not sure if beeing 4 player makes any difference but

on 0  all switches are open
on 9  all switches are closed
on 1-8 all switches are closed except the center switch

Four players may be different does anyone have a single player Gottlieb they can check?

That is correct Daniel for both single and multi players - Rob - the problem still sounds like it's in the contacts of the reels

Id even try cleaning the plugs from the headbox to the relay board as its a nex problem since removing the head?   Just grab a green jex pad and rub all the pins and get the white powdery stuff of them and try again.

Hmmm this is different to what Mick has said but i adjusted and cleaned the contacts  to reflect what you said Daniel and now im just getting the motor running without resetting any score reels.  ^.^  ^&^
