HELP!

 ^&^ Went to play a game on my SMB and the lhs flipper wont work. doses anyone know what driver it could be?
I know there is nothing wrong with the coil because it's getting its voltage.  !!!

Hi Mitch

   The coil might still be getting it's voltage but the coil could be no good.  Grab a multi meter and set it to ohms and measure between the terminals and make sure there similar tithe working flipper.

   Let us know the results

I'm not sure if i'm reading my meter correctly but it seemed to be around 12.

well thats a good start that section of the coils fine now test the other lug.   you want one end of your multi meter on the lug wit the fat and skinny wire attached then test the other lug  ^^^

go back to basics and test the twin leaf flipper swith on cabinet and make sure it is closing ie meter across the switch blades when button pressed should show a short (in ohms again)

. &^&sorry mate,without the book that oscar promised you i cant work it out,and i cant get to my gottliebs as to many machines to move at the moment.hope someone here can figure it out.

try holding the flipper in the up position with your hand then press & hold the flipper button and let go of the flipper.
does it stay up?

correct me if i am wrong, smb is a super mario bros? !@)

SUPER MARIO BROS was my guess and having never worked on one im only getting you to test what im sure of a manual would be handy....    Ill see if i can find a copy

Yes it is super mario and no it isn't the eos swich and it dosent stay up, (the coil has power but wont energise) i thought it may have been a driver but i don't have a book and gottleb's don't seem to have a flipper driver is this so?

to my memory all the fuses for the flippers are under the p/field.
if i am right just check the fuses while i get dinner & schematic sorted
