From the pictures, the machine looks to be in exceptional and original condition.
From the des-cription, it has been in the family for a long time.

This machine traditionally changes hands cheaply, BUT, I've not seen a CP in this condition for many years. I hope it finds a new home in a collection. Nice game.

I'll take a stab at $1600, but I won't be surprised if it goes for $1100 or thereabouts.

Good looking backglass for a Cosmic - looks in very good condition overall.  Should get $1500 plus but who knows??

I notice there is some interest from North America on RPG.

cheers
Ian

Rarity aside, is it a good machine game play wise?

I enjoyed playing the machine, and I found it to be a close relative to Stern "Stars". Great Drop Target placement and a similar lower playfield to "Galaxy".

I agree - not a bad game to play.  Probably closest to Galaxy in terms of other Sterns.  The big let down is the sound - beep-beep-boop-bop...

I thought it would go for a bit more than it did, and then the seller says the buyer didn't respond???

Of interest to me was the comment from a "potential buyer" - "Hi, this machine is worth at least 3000, goodluck!" - So someone pumped his tyres up and the machine didn't sell. It sold on the AFL Grand Final weekend, when most people are distracted anyway. But he auction ends on a Friday, and it is relisted on a Sunday ?

I would suggest the potential buyer will simply report the auction - I guessed it was worth $1600 - no more.

Now re-listed again, seems a bit strange why he keeps re-listing it and changing the price.

Someone's probably mentioned rarety etc. The fact he has added the "International bidders" clause would suggest that there has been interest from O/S.

I actually made an offer on this a few weeks ago,but the seller politely refused, seems like a good bloke, and he has fixed a price on the pin and wont accept a lesser amount, got the impression if someone offered him around the $2700 mark he would sell, bit too pricey for me but it certainly looks in top nick.

I wonder if he is trying to make it look that way.
Would USA collectors be interested in a Stern manufactured by LAI in Aus?

Yes. I THINK the game was not exported to the USA at all. It was originally in a "kit" form, but it ended up being a machine in its own right. Collectors in the USA would be interested for sure  ^^^

Did Stern make any of these in the US?
