Doctor Who, one thing wrong with it, i'm not complaining i'm just wondering how do you paint a DM machine, I mean I know you get paints and apply it but isn't the cabinet printed and better off leaving, I mean i would hate to stuff it up! its not terably damaged just faded, soo?, what do I do and how? I think its scary!  !!!

That is licensed artwork. BBC won't give permission to either of the Williams licence holders. Very rare to find an unfaded cabinet.

I don't think so. But if you own a machine that requires new decals and you have the skills to recreate and print the art - then there is no problem !

Produce your own to fix your own machine/machines.  ^^^

If you dont want to go to that kind of effort, you can carefully airbrush and touchup all the faded colours no problem.

Dr Who is always faded, although I did see a machine recently, which had a original 120 games only, and the machine was Mint and fade free. Maybe the last one left like that for a million miles in all directions.

Quite a few people use Sharpie markers to re-do the colour and Dr Who is one of the easier ones with having a lot of straight lines.
Quite a few on RGP have used this method as well as on this group with great sucess. I did my TOTAN this way and it turned out pretty good in fact a few people even thought it had been re-decaled.

Thats one HUGE difference, Darren. There's a website where an IJ was done with a sharpie and a ruler. It looked incredibly good, but must have been painstakingly time consuming

Here it is

Didn't think it could turn out as good as it did.
Wonder if that method would work with backglasses?

The IJ at the link looks bloody awful - I mean you can see the orange texta marks all through the orange 'sun-rays' - looks like a kids colouring book- sorry  (((

I am going to sound like a big stick in the mud here , I am just trying to add some facts from my own experience , others may have better success with this glass paint -  I also tried that EXACT glass paint on my Scared Stiff , Red & Green area's - ans it didnt blend very well at all and was very 'blotchy' and I can spot the same effect in this BR cab.

Whilst that BR cab looks a lot more colourful - take a look at the RED in the main cabinet diamond and lettering and you can see the blotching that occurs.
