Whodunnit spinning roulette wheel
« on: September 26, 2010, 10:08:03 PM »
OK - extrapolating from RobM's method on the TOM Tiger Saw, by horizontalizing its perpendicularity, I have succeeded in making a spinning roulette wheel on my Whodunnit?
To quote Doc Emmet Brown "Great Scott - it works - it works!"
I don't have video capability, so here's a list of parts followed by progress pics.
In this application the spinner motor is wired to the central standup target riser motor.
The whole deal cost me $6.50 for the roulette set at a local market.

* Computer fan motor as per Rob's thread.
* Roulette wheel 160mm overall dia.
* 3 @ 1" x #6 rnd hd machine screws
* 3 @ #6 nylocs.
* Some washers t/suit
* 3 @ spacers about 3/4" depending on motor. Made mine from rigid retic jet risers - perfect dia.

Great stuff. Glad to see the idea got extrapolated further. It's so much fun doing this sort of stuff and doing it so cheap is a bonus
