Ahh the old KISS pinball.

Side note - My favorite album of all time is "KISS ALIVE!". I wore out the double casette in 1980 and had to buy a new set. After CDs were released, I wore out the double CD. I have a virtually unplayed THIRD double casette of "ALIVE!". Today - The market value of this cassette is US$100 minimum. I bought it from Coles in Reservoir for $1.99.

I have just lost all my respect for you  <.>

I bought 2 copies of cassette "The Elder" in 1982 - bargains at 99 cents each. One was unplayed until I sold it to a collector last year in the USA for US$75. KISS memborabilia has its own currency  *%*

Try doing that with an "Emerson, Lake and Palmer lunch box"  *.*

No worries, il try to remember to ask him  ^^^

And he actually mentioned the broken Haunted house bg when i spoke to him, i asked if it was the same HH from the amusement centre in Laurieton, and he said it was. I knew that machine well and used to drive there from Port macq just to play it on weekends.. THAT machine was the inspiration for my home brew Vortex machine *%*

he is back
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/KISS-Pinball-Machine-MINT-CONDITION-/110608449262?pt=AU_CoinOp&hash=item19c0c6feee

My problem is the descript!on
Mint is unused, the ball has never touched the original playfield
this is a rebuilt machine, new reproplayfield, plastics, displays

But it is not a rebuilt original like Nino has described

Yes, quite the sales pitch.

Did well with the earlier one too-
To all those who made ridiculous offers for that package, It was purchased for asking price by one of the best known Collectors in the Country who knew the true value of those gems and did not think twice about the fair asking price.

Given all the great collectors are on this forum, or well known to members - come on, tell us who it was??!! ;)

And I wonder why he hasn't left any feedback yet given how extemely happy he appears to have been by the seller's own admission!! ;)

Quite a sales pitch  !!@

I agree with Pete - A "mint" game is a game that has had minimum plays. This is rebuilt - but again, falls short of the standard you would expect for a collector's piece. NONE of the hardware is polished on a "mint" machine - it is re grained (I'm starting to sound like a broken record)..

Drop Targets are not the same as original - They should be Tombstone style

Legs are not "hammer finish" - they are powdercoated, and if you want original color style - then you buy the repros from PBR (they are as close to original as I've seen). In fact, they look like the Bally EM style legs ( broader lip at the top end ).

No pictures of the Electronics - "It plays like new" - What does that mean ? Have the connectors been re pinned, Power Supply rebuilt - hang on - it's "mint"  %.%

Between the members on this forum, you would think that SOMEONE would know who bought one of the "mint" KISS machines (what are we up to, five or six now?). I know many collectors that are not on any forum and they don't know anyone who has bought any of these games.

A classic machine restored to factory should not need a thesis to sell it. The seller is good at writing the thesis, but the machine still falls well short of "original", and is definitely not "mint"
