A couple of interesting questions on the listing.

"To answer your question...this machine is 100% Original - REBUILT FROM THE GROUND UP - GAURANTEED. "

Hmmmm...  !!@

So if the buyer points out all the non original parts (Drop Target, Lane guides, legs etc etc) does he / she get a refund ?  !@#

It's starting to look like this pins arn't that rare?  !@#
I do agree it is an incorrect de*script*ion, and yes its pimped up.
would be fairer to say it is a fully referbished pin, not restored to original.

Never have been rare.  They made 17,000 of the bloody things!.  Problem is, they were VERY popular on location in their day.  Same with games like Flash and Firepower.  So basically, 95% of them have been flogged to within an inch of their life.

Exactly  ^^^

The word "rare" and "collectible" seem to be words to describe every single pinball on eBay. There's always plenty of KISS machines changing hands. Most sellers think they are sitting on goldmine machines. I've yet to see an restored machine to the standard "Nearly In Box" - which is the best it can possibly be restored.

I think the seller would be aware of the critism towards his games, his selling techniques and his lack of feedback. Would not be surprised if the seller is aware of these threads  <..>

In all honesty.. good luck to the guy, but it seems that unless you are local and have a few $K to burn, you have dick squat chance of purchasing the BEST KISS EVER!!!!

Thats  the... BEST KISS EVER!!!!!

Hopefully, the "Well known collector who knew the true value....etc etc etc"   will want another machine thats the  BEST KISS EVER!!!!!

A question about the dates(s) on the ipdb.

I read the "colourful" exchange of words in the Q&A part of the listing about the date for KISS (1978 versus 1979).  In the ipdb, there are two dates.  When searching on KISS, the header lists a few machines, and the one we are interested in shows "1979-06".  When you scroll down to the actual desription, the date "April 15, 1978" appears.  Why two different dates, and what do each of these mean?

"The Lure of the Silver Ball" (Garry Flower and Bill Kurtz) list the date of production as June 1979.

I have the original "Replay" magazine, Dated July 1979, with the "KISS suppliment" which was an industry magazine back in the golden years. It has pictures of the actual assembly line, and a prototype KISS in "Mother's Arcade". It was DEFINITELY not released in 1978, and the sales section of the "replay" magazine has ads which state "Game now availabe for immediate delivery".

I have a photo of the band holding the original artwork in 1978 - is was still in its design phase. Not sure why IPDB has the incorrect entry.

Happy to scan any of the magazine etc etc
