Im sure all coin op collectors would just love to own a 30's Mutoscope.. as rare as hens teeth and even more so here in Aus.

I collect all sorts of coin op stuff... would love to swap our washing machine for a coin op one etc etc etc
 Those that know me also know that i like my 1950's stuff.. theres something about this era that just looks cool to me right down to the machines and women.. and who else would a man have from the 50's?? Of course it would be Bettie Page.. queen of bondage and burlesque.... what??? Dont know her??

Anyway,, this little gem pops up on ebay... its not 50's... more 60's but it is an absolute beauty.. the drawn Bettie Page card is an extra bonus

I was literally chomping at the bit to get my grubby hands on this... at last... a coin op machine where i drop a coin and then watch a dirty movie... how cool is that?
 I manage to get the sellers number and ring him to attempt to buy offline... i offer $500 but its turned down and so i sit the auction out

... turns out im the only bidder ( after id stuck a hefty bid on 3hrs earlier and then went back to work).... wadda ya know??? I snag this machine for starting price.

yeh i know it needs fixing but its basically a 16mm projector inside a box... spares for this all over the place at flea markets etc

Meanwhile.. during the week of this auction, ive been busy and ive found a seller in USA that specialises in selling 16mm films of the... cough..... black and white adult variety..

One word of warning though, DONT do a google search on the lady or u get to see a picture when she was very old n haggered like someone who looks like they shld have died in a nursing home years ago (apx 100 yrs of age.lol).  YA DONT WANT the grandma plus picture in ya mind when u are watching black n white projector film when she was in her "prime" and younger.

she died at 85 and after reading some stuff about her tonight , after seeing your posts gav, she led a fun filled and interesting life.

this link shows her in her "prime" and she certainly has a nice clevage. the link gives u lots of stuff about her including a great huge portrait she is signing before she passed away. she had half of hollywood at her funeral and was very well known n respected.
