Pinball time

Hi-why would a pinball machine lose time once set-the times set and once the machines turned off then on again later the time has changed?? weird hey..Could batterys be the problem?? but there not that old. Its a DMD.

Batteries might be OK but have you checked if the contacts in the battery holder have corroded?

Usually an indication of dead batteries (common problem), or as specified, the battery holder may have some corrosion. You can clean it with a scotchbrite pad, but I would replace the battery holder IF the holder has signs of corrosion..

Change the batteries first, Peter..

Thanks Nino,

Have changed the batteries and in the morning will check the time-hopefully all's well. It's a friends Judge Dread thats has been left and abit un-loved..

Checked the pinball this morning and all's well/put new batteries in a and problem fixed-funny how the highest score stayed but time didn't :D will have to change my batteries now..

I've seen this problem when the centre battery is placed upside down in the holder - Williams / Bally have all their batteries facing the same way.

Noticeable on a TZ - if the clock on the playfield is set to show the time, it will be slow if a battery is reversed.
