Nightmare on Elm Street
« on: February 02, 2011, 06:56:03 AM »
Hi guys
My cousin is selling his Freddy Nightmare on Elm Street.
Any ideas what its worth?
Its in good condition with no elec faults, no fading and only a very small wear spot on the shooter lane.

I paid $2000 (2 grand) for a really really good one apx 12 months ago.

I think $1800 to $2500 these days would be spot on. ($2500 for a excellent example for a Gottlieb fan.)

I added chrome legs, and rechromed the lock down bar and the side rails etc, and it looks amazing with the cabinet colours of this game.

I like the fact that "Freddy" trash talks you during gameplay which is fun. A good game !  ^^^

GTB SYS3 machines don't usually fetch more than $2000 these days. Freddie would just about be the only exception - especially if the claw mechanism is intact and there is no wear around the flippers and the Freddie Assembly. Should definitely get just over $2200 for a nice example.

Importantly, this title is a VERY playable GTB.

Completely forgot about Stargate - Which is the most valuable SYS3 and worth $3000 +  ^^^

Seen alot of great Stargates sell for around the $2,000 to $2500.

Stargate and Freddy both fun games. I think both have definate great looks. The moving toys on Stargate are pretty cool.

Here are a few videos for anyone who likes Stargate or Freddy.  ^^^ ^^^ ^^^ I just got them off youtube, Stargate video link first, then Freddy link.
