WTB - 2x standard pinball playfield glasses
« on: January 17, 2009, 02:40:12 PM »
Does anybody in the Sydney region have 2 standard pinball playfield glasses for sale?

Happy to come drive up and pick them up, doesn't matter if they are scratched

Two needed Tony? Oh that's right, one to break now and one to break later! :)   &&

Tony,

Try this

There would be a way I would find to break that at the moment!

Just buy new Tony.  My local glass place does them for me for less than $50 each.

That is safety/tempered glass with bevelled edges?

Tempered glass yes, but I think they call it something else.  Smoothed edges are standard no need for polished.

Worth making sure the edges are dressed. The very first time I bought a new glass many years ago they asked me if they edges needed to be dressed, and not knowing what that meant said no. Well I had to replace that glass as every time I took it out I would cut my hands.

Hey Tony, I'm a glazier with my own business. Long way from Wollongong though. You need to ask for "Toughened" glass. All toughened glass comes standard with a "rough arris" edges. The last playfield glass I sold to a pinhead (nice old bloke about 60.....no shit) ....I think I charged him $40 cash.
Do you have a pilkington's glass (now called VIRIDIAN) in the gong?
If so we might be able to get an order placed through that branch for you.
Cheers
