I suspect you have it, although LoTR is a fine game.

Yeah Spiderman is a great game but I would have to say LOTR.
Stern have quite a few really good games but the only one they re-released seven years after it's initial release is LOTR.
Why?
Awesome game.

Interesting question. I haven't played Spiderman, but out of LOTR and POTC I actually preferred POTC, although LOTR was a close second in my opinion.

SM and LOTR, LOTR is definately a deeper ruleset but SM is great flow and fast paced pin.

I might be a bit against the trend here, but I really like Ironman, Spiderman and CSI.

CSI was a bit of a surprise for me, I didn't think much of it until I played it.

I've played most of the newer Sterns, but Ironman I enjoyed a lot...Even considered purchasing one NIB from interstate...Spiderman is certainly my next favourite (BSM is the rolls royce version which you've got Rich)...CSI - yep very enjoyable...I dislike the show, however the game is actually great fun..I have not been to Bumper yet to play Rolling Stones, however I've played BBH at Marks a while back and I figure they are very similar...I didn't mind BBH but I think in a smallish collection it would grow tiresome.

If I could only purchase 2 of the newer Sterns, I think it would be Ironman and Family Guy..

LOTR is the most played pin out of my collection, i had a TZ (which i love) that i was fixing up for a while and old mate didn't pick it up for quite a few weeks longer than he intended, and i still played LOTR more than TZ, even though TZ was only around for a short time.  For some reason, it seems to immerse you in the theme, also is fairly challenging to properly finish which i like.  I find it reasonably easy to Destroy the Ring and have got There and Back again a number of times, but can't seem to finish fellowship multiball.

Had a Simpsons for a while, good game, great Alien Invasion mode, but LOTR is much better.

I played a sited POTC a few times, found it too easy.

Am itching to play a Spiderman

In my opinion, i would vote for FAMILY GUY as the BEST STERN made. (based on deep rule set, humour and playfield set up).

Next i would say "The Simpsons Pinball Party", only because it attracts so many younger people to play pinball. Purely from a visual point of view, its a great looking colourful machine.

I always found POTC and LOTR very very dark machines to play. CSI is a well made game from a players point of view with neat things on the playfield, but the ageing cast members on the translite make it a little ho hum to look at.

WHAT will STERN MAKE NEXT ?  !@#   MAYBE THE NEXT ONE MIGHT BE THE BEST !  ^^^

Before i go ahead with what i am about to say i wish to disclose that this is no bullshit post despite what all of you think !  :D

IMO Sterns Striker Xtreme is their best pin to date.

Never did i look at one in the past as i just assumed it was pathetic !

Well having the pleasure of being able to play one quite frequently it was a genuine surprise and a real hoot to play. SE quite frankly blew me away in the gameplay and WOW factor. It is super fast and most of all F U N !

I honestly enjoy playing it as i believe the only thing that lets it down is that it has to much green in the artwork otherwise as a package i think its sterns best !

Well, I do agree that Striker Extreme is under-rated.

+1

I recall playing Dave's machine and I was very impressed with the gameplay. Underrated pin.

I own SM,LOTR LE, AVATAR LE, TSPP and POTC all bought NIB

1)Most played is AVATAR LE - absolutely love it!

2)SM is a ripper game - allrounder!

3)TSPP very hard and challenging.

4)POTC mostly played by visitors but gets repetitive. Beautiful game overall!

5)LOTR LE- a beautiful game but havent been playing for a while, trying to limit wear!
