Finding and meeting members in your area
« on: May 12, 2011, 10:52:06 PM »
Is there a way to search the members by major city / area as it would be great to organize a meet in own area? Even in the members listing to see who or how many are in a area.

No problems if can't or don't want to.

I think a thread with members areas would be a good idea each time I go away I catch up with any members in the area a simple list of who lives where would be cool

So maybe have a master list of where members are located and sorted ? If there's enough interest, we could setup a section for this reason.

I think a section just like the machine location but being a member location would be a great idea. I'm lucky as I know nearly all the great guys down my way, but I'm sure others would benefit if they were in say Newcastle they could see other locals and maybe touch base. Might also encourage people when they see others in their area to post and become part of the community.

I've added a poll to gauge interest.

I think this is a great idea.
I've meet a couple of local guys by accident but it would be cool to see who is near you so you could meet in person.

I know for myself, knowing there were "X" amount of guys in a area that you could attempt a meet possibly at a pub with pinnies to share the passion and who knows from there. And agree it could help in growth of the pinball community to post and help each other where possibly.

It's only a postcode?
