Cheap Restorer??
« on: May 16, 2011, 09:02:51 PM »
Saw this on Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PINBALL-MACHINE-MID-1970S-VINTAGE-TOP-SCORE-NEEDS-WORK-/170641933529?pt=AU_CoinOp&hash=item27bb0d44d9

Externals look a bit rough but could probably clean up ok.
Badly faded reds on the Backglass

Probably needs a donor cabinet, and the backglass is faded (as mentioned). New door and legs etc - would be a really interesting project.

Yeh... is OK, ive seen enough.
Guy did tell me that the front of the cabinet was "soft" which i gather to mean "rotten".
I had a stunning example of this game some years back that i picked up for $5.
$350... is a no go for me

"it needs work" he says... understatement of the year  %.%

still.. not beyond saving i'd say, what you can see of the pf looks ok, and the bg although faded would be better than no glass.. even THAT could be saved with a bit of care and patience.
I'd take it on as a project if i were looking for one  *%* but then im a crazy bastard  :lol not for me though, not a wishlist title. Besides.. i've got enough to keep me going for a while.. TOO MANY projects  ^&^
