Is it a "Pinball" Machine?

Just picked one of these up today.  http://www.marvin3m.com/baseball/blilpro.htm  Sold non-working on ebay, so after I adjusted the plum bob, played a game. Needs lots of work (of the cleaning variety). The unit is the same general shape as a pinball game as we know them today, with a little bit of pin2000 thrown in for good measure in the head box shape. The manikin golfer is aimed with a big manual knob, and you make your shots with the choice of soft, medium or hard buttons. Any broad definition of pinball would include a game like this, but of course we are used to a fairly standard layout today, and in particular the ability to control the ball with flippers, which this type of game lacks. I think the girls are going to love it (their first look at it today was great to watch, they were very keen). Anyway, just for fun - over to you - do you consider this game to be a pinball machine?

No she isn't a pin, she is an arcade game. More like a pitch and bat game.

If you miss your shot, do you get to keep playing shots while the ball is in play?

The ball drains and another is served to the tee, so you can just keep hacking away. There's a time limit (you can buy more time as well) and also a maximum number of strokes for a particular shot before (I think) it makes you move to the next hole.

For $200 you got a bargain!

The Mini Golf from 1964 sells for about US$4,000!!!! I know where one is in Sydney but she 'isn't for sale'  !!!
