Elizabeth Bowland
« on: July 19, 2011, 02:39:33 PM »
Yesterday I went to Elizabeth Bowland (SA) with some mates and I thought I'd check out the pinnies in the pool/pinball hall, Firstly the lights were off, seconly everything was turned off... at the wall. i turned the pinnies on at the wall and they started. one thing that made me upset is there were about 6 pins in there and about 20 various arcade games about a year ago, well now there is 7 working arcade games 4 not working and 3 pinnies. The other thing I didn't mention is the machines have faded cabinets (in a fully inclosed area!) possibly uv lights? but the playfields were clean, broken plastic now and then but on the JUDGEMENT DAY... the machine wouldn't start game (missing ball error) on the next machine (can't remember name, may add later) after the first ball, no more, it couldn't find the ball, so the last one was Indianna Jones Pinball Adventure (williams) and my mate was able to play a full game, anyway I had given up and lost one coin and decided to go.  %.% everyone else stayed and took turns doing a single player game (once the game was over then they would change) well it got to the point that one of my mates MUM who was clearly a beginner ended up with loads of free games (after i showed her what the bang was doing to the credits) and aparriently she ended up with a High Score! anyway the machines are owned by the bowling place not an operator ("jakes pool Hall" written on sign along with "Elizabeth Bowland" and a pic of a nascar stern pinball. i'm quite dissapointed in that place!
Anyway it was a good meet up with some of the people i haven't seen in atleast a year!
I dont think I will be going back anytime soon *.*

Sucks when they do not maintain the games
