Trip to ddstoys
« on: July 31, 2011, 06:24:56 PM »
Picked the perfect day for a drive, clear sky.

Getting there was easy, just off the ring road and I was there

Pull up, Daniel was there in the driveway to meet me, I hand over some of the stuff I was bringing as he took me to show me his shed.
Opens the door and WOW, THIS is a games room
One wall full of games up and running, lots of different styles and eras
The other side is taken up with the games he was working on

We bring in the rest of the delivery and explain a little of what I remember about the game

The next 2 hours are spent talking pinball and me playing the couple of interesting games (that I do not own) that he had running.
I could even see the attraction of the woodrail. (but gobble holes suck)

Then it was time to leave.

It was good to finally meet you Daniel, hopefully I will get down and meet the rest of the Geelong crowd someday

Pete

PS, Daniel, this is the game I was telling you about

Daniels "man cave" is one of the best you will ever find. Did he show you that device you hold against your neck and talk ? I can't remember wnat it is called but a character in South Park uses it all the time !

Great to hear you had a fantastic road trip, Pete. As Nick mentioned - would be nice to catch up sometime ?
