most of the stuff under the playfiled had been taken aparts and cleaned
but the 'before' and 'after' pictures do not show the improvement, so I have not been in a hurry to post them

At the back of the machine there is a line of targets
The brackets holding the targets, the top ones are from the lower playfield, these have been cleaned, the bottom ones are from the top playfield, they have not been cleaned

Lessons leant, do not tummble the pop bumper spoons, they are copper, the tumbler will bend them, you wil have fun getting them straight again

Upper playfield has been taken apart, metal parts tumbled, plastic playfield in the sink (lucky me has big sink at work), posts scrubbed, and the whole lot reassembled

Devil Riders said that Zac’s used a lot of chrome, I did not believe him until these parts started coming out of the tumbler

Clean upper playfield

The artwork on Zacs was always pleasing to the eye - and you've just made it look better. Can't wait to see the game when it is done !

I played this title a few days ago, along with a few other zac's, and the first time  i had played a zac.
man the colors are great on them and great details and the quality they put into the paint on the play-field has meant even dirty old machine have great conditioned play-fields. they play different very leisure like. this game was a fun game along with farfalla and time machine. good luck with it

I actually played these at Tony's from pinball shed, he has a few really neat zacs there atm. and was cleaning a few more up when i was there.

Finally, I have the playfield stripped (mostly)
I have left the lamp sockets at the top of the playfield as the screws are soldered to the wires, and it seems like more work than what it is worth to unsolder, clean and resolder

You will also notice that the tops of one set of drop targets is still visible
I think it is wiser for me to leave one assembled until I manage to get the other set put back together

Love the artwork. I've never seen any wear on a Zac. This will come up a treat when finished !

Take a look at the picture in post #19
when the ball drops from the upper playfield, there is a spring that lowers the ball down, rather than simply dropping the ball straight onto the lower playfield
