I hope this all works out for everybody involved as I've meet Malcolm a couple of times in New Zealand and he's a top bloke that does awesome work for this hobby his expertise will be a great loss to the hobby if he stops doing what he does :)

No doubt his talents aren't in question, but his lack of communication made for some very frustrated and angry customers who had
handed over hard earned $$. I hope it works out for all involved.

Wise heads prevail. Great comments.

I have not laid any any money for this project, so I don't know exactly what has transpired in great detail. I think we all need to sit back and wait a week for the product to arrive to each member that has ordered a set. I'd rather read positive comments that the decals have arrived and then we can lay this issue to rest.

They have been sent. They should not take any longer than a week or so. I don't think a slinging match will make them arrive any faster. I don't want to temporarily close the thread for 7 days.

Nino has echoed my thoughts EXACTLY.
Let cool heads prevail.

I hope that in around 7-10 days we can see some gracious apologies written in the same vain and same length of detail as the heated complaints in the thread.
I am sure that Spacies would not purposely let ANYONE down and maybe just started to drown in the moment and didn’t handle any details well after that.

Spacies has done some UNBELIEVABLE work in this hobby to assist MANY restorers and I can concur that artwork can take HUNDREDS of hours to create
Spacies work is just top notch stuff and the LAST thing we as hobbyists needs to do is P*SS OFF another generous , talented and creative guy to the point where he stops doing any future work
What good will that do ANYONE?
Talk about shooting oneself in ones foot !

I am truly interested in what some of the negative posters in this thread ( not you Cavey ) have done in your time in this hobby to assist the hobby in any way that guys like Spacies have in the past

Mate if you are having a go at me for my negative comments...I stand by them 100%...this has nothing to do with " what he has done for the hobby" or " what have you done for the hobby" What I am doing for the hobby is taking to task people who think they can rip others off.
This about people being ripped off nothing else... simple as that. Imagine going to the local shop to buy whatever and handing over your coin in good faith only to be told to come back tomorrow...then the next day and so on...that doesn't happen does it...why becuase it is mental...just like this whole debacle.
I hope they turn up soon and we can put this mess behind us.
Deadset joke imo!

Not ’having a go’ as such.

Just trying to make people think about what THEY have done to help the hobby compared to others and if anyone can even comprehend the amount of time and effort some things take – quite often for nothing other than a slap in the face.

I just think people need to stand back – settle down – wait for these goods to arrive and then in hindsight see that the current ‘raised level’ of talk will all have been pointless AND in the meantime put to risk yet another decent provider in the hobby who has proven himself may times over and has ( seemingly ) made one ( albeit bad communication ) error of late. And in a hobby where resouces like Spacies talents are scarce I dont think thats a good thing

We have ALL had bad dealings with people, sellers, retailers in general life and don’t we find that generally things DO work out in the end.

I totally agree that the communication has been less than satisfactory, but to use terms such as "thief", "ripped off" are uncalled for in my book. Believe it was a case of him becoming snowed under with work and it got the better of him. Do not believe for a minute that he had no intention of ever delivering on what was promised and paid for.

Fortunate to meet Spacies in Queensland this year and see some of his work first hand, top notch. I hope this matter gets satisfactorily resolved for all concerned.

Fair enough Nino. I wasnt having a go at Rottyguy, he's a well liked QLD'er.  ^^^ My post was aimed at Malcolm.

Unfortunately, this whole mess has caused alot of anger and frustration. It became a situation of "upset the Roman mob, and suffer the wrath".

Lets leave it 10 days and see if anything turns up !  ^^^

My comments are in general - not towards your comments, Brett  ^^^

I think what Wotto is saying is right - it takes a lot of time and effort to do the artwork - and I TOTALLY understand that the time taken to send the product is poor - but can we all wait for the product to arrive and I would ask that members post comments on this thread when they receive the artwork.

If I recall, Spacies did the artwork for the Coconut Island project. I've seen the game "in person", and the artwork is simply stunning. I hope the members that have ordered the DR Who decals feel the same way.

Lets just wait another week, folks..

Hey I  don't need anyone to stick up for me. I can handle it.

I have made myself look like an ass because of a supply and quality issue. I was promised on many occasions that these would be printed that afternoon, the next day blah blah and then I would foolishly say I would be sending them. Big mistake. Understatement of the century. Did you want me to tell you they run out of ink? No media of that type? The printer is banding? We f**ked it up, sorry we'll reprint it for you for the 10th f**king time but not till next week? I guess I should have now right! I should have gone to another shop but I had already paid and wanted it fixed.

When they weren't printed and you guys emailed my heart would sink. I myself was sick of making excuses as much as you were sick of me sending them. I am sure for those who work in retail or manufacturing know what I mean. Its not the person behind the counters fault, its the person supplying the dam things.

When I sent the email yesterday it was like 4 or 5 in the morning which it is not uncommon for me to be up early or staying up late to talk to other guys doing projects on Skype. I actually sent 8 sets yesterday, 2 needed to be packaged so that's probably what I meant to say, but whatever. None of those were going to the UK and no one from the UK had ever contacted me so that is not correct. As for the guys in the guys in the USA, if there names don't start with V, T or B then its also not correct, but you have nothing to prove to me. Not trying to argue back but I know some hobbyists like to get involved in some things they have nothing to do with in the first place. Its nana syndrome.

I f**ked up. I tried to make $50 a set by going through the whole process to try and get paid for the work I had done. I would have made $350 from those 8 sets for around 100 hours work but I would have been making people happy, so I was happy. Turns out I was wrong and it has cost me the trust of you guys.

Sucks. Sucks big time.

And yes it was never ever ever my intentions to take your money and run. Ever.

I was trying to do the best I could. I am f**king spent.

I am going to get rid of most of the machines I have, buy a valiant and go cruising as far away from decals as I can.

I was working on some cool mods too and I would like to complete them. But let's see.

And for the record, I have only produced 13 sets mate.
