Not much chance of me scoring one off ebay. 3500 is rich, but to someone in love with that game not so much.

They are still around....I picked up a nice one (the LE version with the smaller head) about 4 years ago for $300  #*#

They are falling from the sky!

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Eight-Ball-Deluxe-Pinball-Machine_W0QQitemZ110347380372QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_15?hash=item110347380372&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

I am sure that guy has been trying to sell that machine for ages. Or maybe I have just viewed it a few times now!

The description is somewhat understated - 'playfield has some wear': actually it looks like someone has taken a sander to bits of it. 'Works great' - well that's funny, how come the 4x drop target is down but the 3x isn't. I am not sure if anyone will bid on it at $2500.

EBD is a little overrated in my book. Nice game, but it seems to hold a higher value than I think it is worth.

Once it's got you hooked, it's got you hooked!

Hopefully EBD is my next pin. Got to scrape together a few more dollars first, and find one with a half-decent playfield.

That's a fair list there, Stu.. Some real classics !

Medusa, Fathom, Paragon and KISS are all "A-List" machines
Playboy "looks good", but is not a great player, as does Spacies

Centaur is the "X Factor" pin - Can be REALLY good if it is in good condition, but like Spacies, it is a "Scary" theme for kids

EBD.. OK - I'll have to have a play on a really nice machine - see if I change my mind !

It's a shame you missed out on playing the EBD I did a playfield swap for Nino... Nice brand new playfield, new plastics and all rebuilt parts. Came up a treat, and played really nice!
