Black Knight 2000

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150689778096?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I've been pretty interseted in a black knight for a while now but I don't see too many nice ones come up for sale. Spotted this black knight 2000 that looks pretty nice. Did a bit of online research and it seems there both pretty highly rated some liking the original and others prefering the  2000 version.

Just wondering what some other members who may have played either or both think .

Also do you think this one listed on ebay is a fair price...looks nice from the pics.

Thanks....Tim

I bought a Black Knight 2000 for $2500 ish 2 yrs ago after Andrew(Beaky) talked me into it. Best thing I ever did.   ^^^

The machine is worth every cent and is a machine I would never ever sell because it is such a great game. Best light show, best audio, just bloody unreal challenging machine.
A few have bagged it, but I reckon they havent given it a serious play to say something negative.  Some say its a right flipper happy game, but thats far from true. You have to play this game properly to see what a bloody great game it is. Very challenging, but very much a fun game. Its a better game than overpriced titles like late model Bally MM etc. Its just better if u like challenging.

You can buy new decals (full cabinet, headbox n coindoor etc) for $199 from Jeff - Classic Arcades in the USA, and brand new backglass from Bay Area/Marco Spec in the USA.   * Worth every cent of $2450. Buy it and dont even bother hesitating or you will miss out n kick ya self.  ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

I think if you can get it for $2450 it would be a good buy, looks tidy and has had a bit of work done on it.

The guy is a good seller - I am pretty sure I bought some stuff off him myself and his prices are always reasonable, and he is quick to get stuff in the mail.

This title is high on my wishlist. Has to be one of the best games ever made. The lighting, the music and the gameplay. some people really love titles such as Funhouse, but BK2000 is a much better game. I think the price around the going rate these days - $2200 - $2500.

Seriously, to anyone who is interested in a Black Knight 2000, bid on this machine.

I HONESTLY BELIEVE THIS TITLE IS WORTH $3500 TO $4000 ALL DAY LONG.

Now, some will say thats a big call, but they never come up for sale, and if they do, they are usually completely worn out and still sell for $2500 to $2800. Just try n find one for $2500 thats in really great nick, it don't happen. This listing is the first I have seen in 3 yrs on Ebay, the last was from Pauls in Germany, and the machine would have cost a minimum of $3500 landed.

I would be extremely surprised if this machine doesnt sell for anything less than $3300, if not more. Maybe it might sell cheap, but it will be along time before u see another come up for sale. The new decals that Classic arcades sells, are absolutely Brilliant. (email Jeff, cause I cant see them on his site, but he has stock)

Backglass below.

Full Decals below
http://www.marcospecialties.com/product.asp?ic=SA%2D310   (but cheaper from Classic Arcades and he has great photos. Wayne in VIC has sets as well)

IF U HAVE SPARE COIN, BUY THIS MACHINE, AND PAY UP TO $3500 IF U HAVE TO. I GUARRANTEE IT WILL BE THE BEST $3500 U HAVE SPENT ON A PINBALL. ITS THAT GOOD.
If u get it cheaper, Bargain !  ^^^ ^^^

Only $4k if it has a new backglass, brand new decals fitted, and if playfield is immaculate etc, with all boards beautiful, being a low usage machine.

My BK2000 has had barely any use, but cab is faded a bit. I will replace decals, and add a new backglass just so its very very nice. Just to be fastidious.
I have been offered $3500 and knocked it back, and always will. NOT FOR SALE. Too hard to find one in immaculate condition.

Wait n see what this machine/title fetches in the next 12 to 18 months, big bux and shld surprise most. Since new cabinet decals have come out, and new backfglass is avail, very very hard to find anyone selling. I am amazed the ebay listing didnt start alot higher.  !@#

* Lets see what it goes for IF the ebay listing runs its full time, which i would be surprised if it doesnt sell with a high cash offer.  !@#

Sorry mate gotta disagree with you there.
3k tops...maybe 3.5k if it was a shmikco example and then it is still a very big maybe imo. If I could sell one for 4k I would be doing cartwheels all the way to noosa and back.
I think between 2 and 2.5k is right on the money for this one...pardon the pun.

Market price for a BK2000 is $2200 - $2500. That would be what the seller is looking for. The price is dropping for this title in line with other games. This particular game is a "no brainer" for $2500.

A high end BK2000 might fetch $3200 tops. You might find a fastidious collector that wants a home use game for $3500 + but it is not a $4000 machine in any condition - unless it is a NIB.

12 months ago, people couldnt give away a "Creature from Black Lagoon" for $2200. A friend had apx 5 of them, all excellent, couldnt sell one at $2200.

People are paying $3500 now for a good example of CFTBL.

BK2000 I reckon is a better pin than CFTBL.  Thats how I reckon some machines can go up very sharply, including BK2000. Why CFTBL but not a BK2000.

Tough comparing it with cftbl or most other dmd's for that matter...apples and oranges.. cftbl is a title that people either love or hate, it polarises opinion... so some people will always pay a little more for a game they adore,  I did for my creech if thats what your refering to and I'm happy with my decision. I love the game and while not my fav player it is certianly better than any system 11 game I have played inc bk and f-14. Who know's maybe someone who loves bk2k and must have it will pay that type of cash for one.
Those 2k creatures must have been dodgy as or he wasn't marketing them right, cause they would have been snapped up at that price if they were any good.
I don't think creature has gone up sharply at all..it has always been around  3-4k for a sweet one.
Still love bk2k as well and would love one one day but it will always be 2-3k tops for me depending on condtion.
