The clear over the artwork is common for French pins - RALLY did the same.

Its more like the print is attached to the underside of a sheet of resin. Beauty of this method is that the artwork is nearly always intact!
And as youve found out - polishes up a dream.......LOL - you might have to install some pitted balls to slow the game down

While i had the old girl open i noticed something strange the fuse for the lights had blown. Why is this strange you ask?  Because the scoreboard was still lit up.  When i replaced the fuse the scoreboard went out and the playfield lit up dull untill the fuse blew again and the scoreboard came back on. During all this none of the relays inside the machine moved so why is it changing from the scoreboard to playfield? Any one with any ideas?

I am guessing you have a short somewhere, or else your earth is inadequate.

Have you fixed the coin door problem? If so, what was it?

I agree - sounds like a bad earth - probably off the transformer.

The door problem was a loose wire jamming in between the door and the frame had worn throught the plastic.   And ill try resoldering all the wires onto the transformer and see how that goes
 Thanks Guys
