RIP Arthrur Beetson

The godfather of Queensland rugby league passed away on the gold coast yesterday...he was 66.
Not just a fantastic role model for footballers but he also for his own people. He worked so hard to make things better for aboriginal youth, to give them the confidence and the options to lead a happy and productive life.
This has now become the" Learn Earn Legend" program that has given hope to so many that otherwise may not have had much hope at all.
RIP big fella we will miss you.

While I am a Blues supporter, you've gotta give credit where credit is due. He certainly put his heart and soul into the game, and strived to help those that he could.

Looks ike there will be extra incentive to win 7 series straight next year,not that qlders really need an excuse or motivation to belt up th blues. Do it for big Artie boys!!

You can't bring back Daly and Mortimer...Oconnor etc...just kidding...maybe they should make you head selector...who would you have in the vital key postions....1,6,7,9?

Mate,  if push came to shove, I doubt I could pick a winning combination if my life depended on it :lol

But if I had to:

1. - Josh Dugan - reckon if left in he will settle in.
6. - Would like to say Terry Campese (no Raiders bias at all!) but he's hot n cold - perhaps Todd Carney if he's still playing by then.
7. - Mitchell Pearce
9. - Michael Ennis

The most important thing is once they work out a good combination that on paper 'should gel' they need to let them develop as a team - something that QLD has done for years. NSW selectors seem to always have the axe too close by.

I like it mate...dunno about campo at #6 but on his day is devastaing and should have had more than the one go at origin duties.
My only real change would be Farrah at 9.
Duggan and Pearce are sure things for mine...whats the bet they still pick soward the coward at 6.
Wait till cheery evans is ready for us..and then he still has to get past thursto and cronky......ahhhh it's great to be a qlder!
Good chance I will be in Sydney again for game 2 is it next yr?
