Roger Waters The Wall Concert
« on: January 18, 2012, 12:11:44 AM »
Just wondering how many pinball enthusiasts are going to make it to this concert. I am pumped, going to the first concert of 2012 here in Perth, 4 rows from Roger and the band. His concert in 2007 was one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen. You will never see Roger do this again, he may never tour again depending if he and David Gilmour bury the hatchet from their 30 years of animosity.

Nope...not without the rest of the original band ( and seeing that wright is now with he worms that will never happen). Id rather see Roger do his solo stuff. Have to agree that it would be a great show but it would not be the same for me without Gilmour and co. Leave it where it belongs..in the past.
Speaking of top gigs and great shows already this year...
The Kooks at the Tivoli was insane....very cool indie pop rock indeed.
The Artic Monkeys tour should be great also.

Well.....i saw one of the most amazing and complete musical experiences you could hope for last night. Roger revelled in the atmosphere, the crowd were stunned by the scale of this spectacle. It is The Wall double album presented in a way that makes it all have so much impact. You will not be disappointed. I'm sure the bluray will look and sound great when it comes out but seeing it live is a personal experience you won't forget

Scored a free ticket from my brother to the last show in Brisbane last night, should be a good show, even though Boondal doesn't have the greatest sound.. I just have to decide between acid and shrooms now....decisions decisions.

+1
I really enjoyed it, even without the original band members on stage with RW it felt like they were...a very odd feeling indeed. Up there with some of the best shows I have ever seen easily.
Boondall in Brisbane is not the best venue going around by any means but the audio engineers did a great job to compliment the musicians...it was brilliant!!
