Heres a get out of jail free card type story for you guys.  @.@ @.@

Within only a few minutes of unboxing and setting up my AC/DC Pro, my 2 year old son Hunter, thought it would be a good idea to grab one of dads screw drivers and try n run the sharp screw driver all the way down the side of dads new pinball machine. He wanted to help daddy set up the pinball machine u see, so him grabbing the nearest screw driver and getting into my machine with it was his way of helping.lol

Well, at the last second i saw what he was trying to do, and luckily he rubbed the rubber end of the driver accross the fresh decals and not the sharp end. I was only seconds away from disaster, it would have been a costly stuff up to say the least. I love my son to death, so if he had of farked up the decals badly, I wouldnt have roused on him or smacked him, cause he enthusiastically thought he was helping and he is only 2 years of age.

I have some photos to load today which i will as soon as i get some new batteries for the camera so i can load them onto my computer etc.
Lesson learnt, setting up a BNIB pinny, and leaving tools around for Jnr to grab hold of, will not happen again.lol  ^^^

Now Im PISSED.

Opened my second ACDC LE due to the first one having faults. Wanted to keep this boxed for investment.

Opened it up - NO MANUAL - WTF?
Loose screws in base if cab, lock down fire button not working, balls getting stuck under flame plastic, connectors not connected, broken wire in loom affecting switches, ball beneath bell loose and was mm from scraping playfield. Just spent another 2 hours fixing before I could have a game.

9K well spent - quality control = NONE. These pins were rushed out the door.

Pete,
My PRO headbox has 4 x very very small pre-drilled holes in the top of the headbox which ARE the exact screw positions for the tournament topper IF u want to add one.

Prince,
I had to wash the dishs today for the first time in 14 years, not because I have been playing the AC/DC pinball, but more like because I spent around$6300 (Pro plus shaker motor plus delivery)  and the wife would have liked to buy a new car instead of  "all these bloody pinball machines all over the bloody house routine".  %.% %.%  So I washed all the dishs to get in the good books (for 5 minutes anyway)  @.@

Silverball,
That is not good about having 2 x machines in a row with issues. The chances of that happening must be 1 million to 1.  I dont understand how those machines passed the quality control burn in tests which would normally pick up that stuff instantly. It would be good to hear later what you have found and any feedback would be appreciated by other AC/DC owners.
HAS ANYONE HEARD of anyone else having any issues ?  !@#

Dave

Wow really sux what a shocking turn of bad luck. How was your mates one?

I have a question for the PRO/premium/LE owners how is the clear? Normal Stern very thin or thicker?

From the other Sterns I have seen if I bought one even NIB I would strip and clear properly before a ball hits it

My clearcoat looks fine Marty, pretty thick/well done for sure.
I think they have really stepped up with the AC/DC machines. I have seen alot of Stern NIB before, and this machine is way better everywhere.
Steve Ritchie said this was going to be the best quality Stern title to have ever left the factory, in my case he is very correct.

Everything is immaculate. Beaky(Andrew) and I tried to find fault, and we looked at every single inch of every single part, inside/outside/under/over and we found absolutely nothing, not a speck out of place. I was extremely surprised for a mass produced item. Even the fussiest collector would be impressed. I hope everyone else/other BNIB AC/CD owners feel the same as I do.

I hope everyone gives their feedback, it is vital to AP people to know about this sort of stuff for future purchasing.
