April 2012 - definitely a month to remember!

Your not wrong there.
Congrats on your purchase and welcome to AP.

Not a fan of the BIB backglass/translight guys - just reminds me of Austin Powers himself.....must be the blue suit that comes to my mind.

Peter,
The second scratch (minor) is a few centimetres above the bigger scratch. Follow the bottom of the backglass and the small scratch is in line with the metal trim. I am happy with the rest of the machine and have checked everything - faultless.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

Cavey, setting #79 to high is a good strategy. You, being a good player will have nothing to worry about but any opponents not familiar with the machine will cop Steve's devilish insults.
As an aside, I ran a power meter to see what sort of power the LEs use as I was worried of running up a pricey bill with the carbon tax looming around the corner. Nothing to worry about as my BIB uses 80W - 250W during play; better than watching TV or using the dishwasher; more fun too!

HOW TO CHECK YOUR ACDC GAME CODE IS CURRENT
(Pro only as there are no current upgrades for LE at this point, but check in the following weeks by doing the below steps)

My Pro machine has version 1.25 on it, but Stern has done a revision since sending out our machines (Pro) and its now up to version 1.4.

STEP 1.
To check your game code is current, when u turn on your machine, you will see the software version in the right corner of the dot matrix when the machine first powers up. Watch closely cause it comes and goes quickly.

STEP 2.
Go to the Stern website, and go to    www.sternpinball.com  , then go to the drop menu for Service/Support, then click on game codes library. then scroll down left side of page and you will see AC/DC Pinball and click on that.

Step 3.
A small square box will appear with the various models of the AC/DC machines, click on your AC/DC Pro, then when the next box appears, click save. After it loads, then save it to a USB stick, then go to your AC/DC game manual, then follow the steps in the front of the book which talks about updating game software/code etc.  Very straight forward !  ^^^

CUSTOM MESSAGE INFO.
Also, when u do a custom message, (like Johns Pinball or Pete's AC/DC etc) The custom message ONLY appears by pressing and holding in your Left Flipper Button on the AC/DC model. (It doesnt appear randomly like it does on alot of Sega/Data East/Williams pins etc).

ATTRACT MODE - NOT EXISTANT - AUDIO
Also, there is No music or no Audio Attract mode on the AC/DC pinball, at this stage.
It might happen on future game code/software upgrades. That the advice i have recieved from AMD. Its funny/unusual cause ALL my other DMD machines have a music/audio attract mode, but it doesnt happen on this title yet !

CODE UPGRADED THIS ARVO EASILY.
I finalised my 1.4 version game code upgrade using a USB plug in and can notice some differences. The upload took around 15/20 minutes for it to fully upload. Differences in dotmatrix displays.scoring and audio noises. Worth upgrading from version 1.25 to 1.4.  ^^^

Also forgot to mention that the LE I played today also had faults out of the box most of the playfield inserts didn't work.  There are two plugs on the back of the jukebox (very hard to see) had come loose causing almost all inserts to stop working except the arrows.

So if anyone has These symptoms check the plugs on the back of the jukebox
