I asked Bruce from AMD what was the biggest selling Stern ever, and he confirms it is AC/DC.  ^^^

That's a great result.
Wonder what the numbers were for 24 !@#

YES, but be very very quick if u want one from this first container, or u will have to wait til the next container delivery, which Bruce can help u with, time wise.   Bruce has had alot of extra orders for the Pro and Premium models. You might be lucky to find one of each left IF they didnt sell this last few days.   Both models are still selling very very strongly.

ALSO, I asked what was the biggest selling other pin in the history of Australia (purchased new when first being sold, and it was 600 Adams Family machines, with AC/DC now second, with the Star Wars Data East/and Jurrassic Park Data East very close behind. Interesting !
100 AC/DC pins sold in Perth alone, not bad for a population of just over 1 million ^^^

100 just in Perth that's incredible wonder how many Australia wide

Peter

Curious to know if any are headed up north - surely BHP have put in orders for the blokes @ Port Hedland.

I'm tempted. It played better than i expected. Might wait and see if any come on the used market in the coming months. Might not be worth waiting for a small saving though.

One important thing to remember, is that the Australian dollar has gone from $1.12 USA and slipped back to $1.03 etc.
That $5950 price wont last 4 ever and will slowly creep back to the $6600 ish mark if the dollar keeps sliding.

Also, that sub 6 grand pricing also capitalises on the fact that all the machines are arriving in seafreight containers. When the orders go back to airfreight etc, the excellent short term $5950 pricing has to change back to the much higher pricing if my calculations are correct.

I doubt very few will end up on the used market in the coming months/years?? this title in my opinion will be thinly traded in the second hand market.

Just my thoughts...
Pinballs in my collection Elvira, Stern Grand Prix, Bally Corvette, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Judge Dredd, Black Rose and Data East Guns n Roses.

That may be true for the LE models, but i'm sure some Pro models will change hands. If you're right, i'm sure there will still be plenty of Pro models available for some time to come.

IF they come up on the 2nd hand market, i doubt any savings at all unless STERN keep running with production... try finding an ELVIS machine 2nd hand... you cant. I know people who have ELVIS + ELVIS GOLD in the collection... neither are for sale or ever will be.

ACDC will be the best machine STERN will make for a very long time and if people part with them then youll be paying $5K+ for a used one.
Have to agree with Cavey on this... tad under $6K for NIB is the best youll ever get on these. Remember than Aus$ against US$ should be around the 80c mark.. weve had a good run while US markets dropped but they are bouncing back now and our $$ will drop again... couple of years and we'll be back to 80c or so normality

Some pros will come up for sale 2nd hand after they have been sited or when some private owners who got caught up in the over-hype get bored sensless with it , I have no doubt about that whatsoever.
There are a few Elvis out there and most Elvis gold have lost the gold trim and are a crap investment.

Elvis do come onto the market. I have seen 3 on ebay in the last two months alone for $8k, $5.5k and $4.5k. I do believe some AC/DC Pro models will come onto the market too, but i take your point on the NIB pricing with the $AU vs $US.

Between the fast n furious gameplay, then the great music, its going to be a "keeper title" for a very long time. Even the Steve Ritchie voice overs are going to be a great addition. I hope every AP member gets to play another members AC/DC machine, cause it would be great to see everyone enjoy the new title and see what a great job STERN have done. People will be blown away by the quality of the music/audio. Best pinny audio ever.
I cant see anyone getting bored of these great machines at all. If anything, people will play one, love it, then order one for themselves if they can.

I would imagine 99 percent of new owners will probably feel the same way. Maybe someone may sell a PRO to upgrade to a Premium or a LE, but it will be few n far between. I am betting that almost everyone who recieves their new machines this next few weeks will give positive reviews.
I havent met anyone yet who didnt think it wasnt a cracker of a game.

Add a little or alot of cold alcohol, crank up the volume, and its "pinny party get plastered time".lol   ^^^
