''King Pin'' resto
« on: January 25, 2012, 04:51:30 AM »
These are early shots of the game being restoed for a collector here in the west, She needs quite a lot of work, play field to touch up ,backglass 5/10 and they sprayed oil on everything! Cabinet will be repainted and restenciled. So far i have  polished metal trim. Legs, Lockdown mech and Door hinge repainted using 2 coats etch primer and 3 coats of hammer silver with a real light sand between coats. use wattle epoxy paints as they are far tougher. many new parts to go on game, Coin door and coin entrance plate, shooter assembly ,leg bollts/levelers ect also most playfied plastcs will be replaced, flipper kits to go in and all units striped, cleaned and serviced, resleeved ect hope you like ...more to follow....

Extra 'King Pin' before shots, just finished cleaning headbox inners. striped cleaned score reels,i use 'tonizone' lemon oil/ beeswax on score faces as it will not harm the ink. Score reels and stepper units all cleaned out including the pcb boards in score reels and wiper plates ect . Found contact missing on eos switch from 10 pt score reel which had cooked 10 point relay coil! Also another eos swich is missing. o just need to solder new coil and switch and the headbox is ready .  #*#

Big job, but worth it for this title,  love mine.

You mentioned new plastics - who does these?

I didn't think there were repros around, I hoped you had sourced them. How did the top remade one come out? That's actually the only one I would want too as it is slightly cracked, and I suspect the one that is most at risk anyway - any for sale?
