Cabinet update.These shots are of cab after 4 coats of undercoat and 2 of top coat with one more to be applied. Then spatter effect to be applied and artwork will be done over the weekend. Will take extra shots of the artwork process. The other shots are from playfield coils that have been "greased"! WHAT NOT TO DO. :wtf: Started cleaning bottom of playfield and found this mess! But these will be cleaned and resleeved.

Used 4" roller for base and top coats and  art to be applied by "stippleing" ( small brush. using only the very end and tapped up and down) will get some pics of this method. it leaves a nice smooth finish and no brush strokes. A signwriter friend will be doing the "pins and balls" by hand and the stripes will be masked off and "stippled"

Got to be quick with the doors. PBR only do short runs. It makes a HUGE difference. Glad to see this machine is getting the full treatment.

Well i have finished the art work on "King Pin" and stoked with the results. I realise that these methods are not true to the original spray method but this will be a lot more durable and can be cleaned without removing any artwork. Cabinet art was first traced then this is this is transferred to the cabinet. Then these stencils are positioned on cabinet then "Dusted" with blue chalk. Next step to tape the stripes. When stripes are still wet but not to wet the tape is removed,this stops a edge forming where the paint meets the tape. more to follow

These shots are of painting stages first the Stripes then the Pins with the Blue ball last as this being a darker colour and because it is applied next to the Orange bottom and would cover any orange paint overlaps If you understand what i mean! Any paint that does get under tape is cleaned up with a blade,or touched up with the top coat White.
