Price Check: Stern "Magic" SS

Got a lead on a machine with a "mermaid" on it. I was hoping it was a Fish Tales but have just been sent through some mobile phone pics of a Stern "Magic".

Can anyone give me a rough price guide for varying conditions? It looks ok in the tiny pics but hard to tell without a proper inspection.

Also any opinions on the game, rarity, collectability, gameplay etc. IPDB says just over 2000 produced.

These usually have shot BACKGLASSES but good playfields. 

  Depending on condition $500 - $1500

Great machine and priced well. A really nice example would fetch $1500 - reconditioned or restored. Non working or project - $350 - $700 - depending on condition.

Artwork is fantastic, and it is a great player.

Does Magic have a MERMAID on backglass?  I had one for 10 years and cant say it had a mermaid, but then again I am told by my lovely wife that i dont pay much attention to things.

To be honest I'm not sure? it was the basic descr1ption I originally got when i asked what game it was and he was going from memory. I can't actually see a mermaid anywhere on the photo's I've looked at on IPDB since I found out the actual title.

could be a Fathom ? That has a couple of mermaids
