Very nice win by the BLUES as well, any team that beats boring collingwood is great but the BLUES...AWESOME!!. They are the beat team in fumbleball afl..sweeet!! Nice collect on the BLUES BRONCOS double last night...happy camper, you betcha. #*#

GF doubles( WINNERS)..BLUES  and BRONCOS - BLUES AND STORM.

Boring Collingwood! obviously doesn't watch much, or understand Afl footy.

What do you expect from the bum sniffers ? The only game where you have to go backwards to go forwards  &^&

Even Soccer is more skillful.
:lol
Played them all as a kid/ teenager thanks very much unlike most or any of the nerds here I bet.
afl is good for aerobic skill and stamina, thats it.
It is about as tough a soft banana...gimme a break.
bum sniffers.. :lol
backward to go forwards  :lol
The same old lame sledges from people who have prob never even played ONE sport and played it well let alone heaps!
More skill more mental and physical toughness required for league, that is just a fact.

a point for missing...now thats funny..
push push shove shove...now thats funny
fumble fumble fumble..now thats funny.
if your not at a afl game it is about as exciting as watching paint dry on tv.

Go BRONCOS!

I played indoor soccer for the Victorian team in the early ninties. I can play soccer, but I don't like the game.
I played Fitzroy U19s as a 16 year old. I also trained with Collingwood, but gave the game away as I dreaded the thought playing for collingwood after my area was rezoned. Also had invitations from Carlton and Essendon. This is as a junior.
I would never play rugby, as the idea of sticking my head up someones butt and then gang tackling cavemen is not a sport. It's a combination of WWE Wrestling and a fart smelling contest.  %.% %.%

Seriously, I think the comparison between the codes is a great topic for discussion. The games I've been to this year attracted 78,000 (Carlton), 60,000 (Collingwood) and 50,000 (Melbourne). The crowd numbers of Rugby League can only DREAM of getting those figures for home and away games. I think 5 games combined would not even reach 78,000. But the real proof is watching the "elite" League players changing codes (Failau and Hunt) to AFL are struggling to adapt to a sport that relies on skill and stamina. If it were not for their marketing value, they would be in a local league.

Melbourne has embraced the Storm, and we are the "sport mad" capital of Australia, but the code can never compete with AFL. No matter what code you prefer, AFL is streets ahead.

I'm sure these two signings were an evil plot by the AFL to show these sniffers had no hope when playing a game of skill.

Aint that the truth! We'd embrace Flies Crawling Up a Wall as a sport given the chance! Storm's success says more about the love of sport in Melbourne than anything else.

Bit worried about the Pies. The media are having a feast day on Malthouse VS McGuire. Carlton are top 4 material on a roll and the pies need their backline back. Pendlebury has been very quiet with his output. Still, never write ANY team off before round 6 - thus is the evenness of the competition. I really felt for Luke Ball going down with his knee. Same feeling as when Lenny Hayes went down last season. Both tough players. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Cats get beat by North. Strange things happen in the first few rounds.

Skill...all codes have skill and if you really believe that afl has more skill, well lets just agree to disagree.
Go and try union or league.....see how much stamina and skill you need...plenty!
Izzy and K are only there for the $$$ mate. They say so themselves( K told me at the junior club where he played and my boy now plays that very fact last year) but they would never tell the press or thier afl mates and bosses that, it defeats the purpose of cash in. I don't blame them for taking the easy option for easy $$...good on them.
There will be no more big names going to the fumble academy, the war chest has done it's bit to set up camp in sydneys west and on the gold coast and they have done it well.
I just can't beleive they treat thier tassie fans like crap and don't give them a team.

You're online Darren - where have you been??
So no Broncos this weekend??

Don't know who to tip out of Carlton v Essendon. Can't believe Essendon's odds to win ($6) are higher than Richmond's ($5) and they're playing Geelong!!

Great comeback from the Dragons v the Chooks yesterday, it was a cracking game and the Storm just keep on rolling on after taking care of the Warriors in what was a very close game up until the last 12 mins or so.
Bring on the Broncos v Titans game tomorrow night, cant wait!!
GO BRONCOS!

GO Broncos!!! #*# Good win.
The titans showed a little bit of fight in the 2nd half but all the dropped ball and a 20/0 scoreline against them at halftime meant they were always going to be doing it tough.

Hope the cows feature strongly in the finals this yr.

Hi Cow Corner, that was a golden moment. They still lack something though, they aren't consistent enough yet.

Gday mick
Origin will hurt them a bit too along with the storm and the broncs.
If they come through there ok and jt fires them up for the run home they should be thereabouts in the 8 to have a good crack at it.
Broncos lose Teo to the Bunnies, I reckon he will be keen to put in a big one v the warriors on sat.
