Footy Season is almost here

Origin always hurts the Storm, Broncos and the Cowboys (as far as the Queensland team goes), there not the only ones though, and it makes tipping just that much harder, shame they can't move it to a different time.

Yeah there are other teams that suffer at origin time but nowhere near as much as the 3 mentioned. As long as the QLD side is ready to rock and give it to the Blues again thats all the matters. It does give a chance for some young kids to come through, Griffin has said that the Broncos will be resting the origin guys again this year.
I like origin where it is, I guess I am stuck in the tradition of it and to have it moved just wouldn't feel the same to me.
My dad took me to the first origin and I have been going ever since, although these days getting origin tickets to a game in brisbane can be like winning the lottery.

My son (both of them actually) is going to their first origin game (in Sydney, through Kelso High and Blayney school), not sure i should go or not, particularly that we go for Qld. Could be a long ride home!

Origin in Sydney are always good fun, I've been to a few and although it's not the same atmosphere as the cauldron it's still origin!
I was going to go to Melb for game 1( never been to a origin in melb) but can't get down there this year unfortunately.
I bet your boys have a good night and I hope QLD win by 8.

Melbourne and Brisbane always get great crowds. I would love to go to Melbourne for a holiday for the origin, then watch the Storm and an AFL game live on a weekend just to enjoy the atmosphere.

Me too, I would also do a race meeting at Flemington etc to make it the ultimate aussie sporting getaway.

Cowboys were on fire last night...JT and Mango made the dragons look 2nd rate on the back of some brutal forward running and tackling...the cows line speed in defence was inspirational! The deliberate elbow to the jaw of JT was a dead set low act!
Eels/Dogs game was a non event and the dogs made the eels pay for some very ordinary compressed defence.
Cmon the Broncos v Warriors....always a tough trip over the ditch to play the reved up choice bro army...GO BRONCOS!

Go the Cowboys! Yeah, what a low act to JT, we were so hopping mad, must have sworn at the tv 1,000 times. The Warriors have spoilt my tipping for the weekend, blast!
