There great scores, adds more fun when you have to get your name up there above a mate or family member.

Don't forget to send a photo to the high scores thread - hoping high scores section soon.

As this is just a clean , not a resto thought I'd just continue this thread.

Finally have stripped the PF down enough to clean it properly . Hope I don't have to do this too often as its a lot more work than a EM or SS.
It was worth doing though as I found 2 of the pop bumper bases had worked loose, a broken post rubber in Pop bumoer area and a loose metal ball guide as well as the Snack Bar plastic broken in 2 places (common prob it seems)

I plan to strip the pop bumper assemblies down while I've got the playfield pulled apart just to check them.

Here's a  few pics . In the 1st one is an example of the dirt (ball tracks).

I've cleaned the top 2 3rd's of the PF so far (down to the top of the inlanes/outlanes) , including removing PF posts and cleaning them and the areas under them .
I had previously cleaned all the readily accessible areas which iswhy bottom 3rd doesn't look too bad.

Wish me luck in getting it all back together properly  !@#

Hopefully I'll figure out why the centre ramp lights don't work during the reassembly.

The flash shows up the Creature toy more than you really see it when the game is running with all the Leds etc.

Here's the last pic for now of the whole PF

Nice work, is the creature lit up with a green led when activated?

My 18 year old daughter has taken great pleasure in knocking me off the top of the leaderboard with a score of 245 million .

Game ON  %.%

Coincidentally she also has the current high score on Firepower  #@#

OK - here is the tip for some decent scores on CFTBL.
Apart from shooting for FILM etc  -BEFORE you start Multiball make sure you have gone around the RIGHT ramp about 12 times ( you will have gone through the Video Mode at 8 and the SnackBar hurry up at 4 ) - 12 times starts SUPER SCORING where EVERYTHING is worth massive points - the trick is to time this to start with Multiball and get the Jackpots while SUPER SCORING is on.

If you can manage that you are a true wizard.

That creature looks cool Dave under the playfield. Good luck with beating your daughter's high score. A frustrating game - I can have a three ball drainer or a ripper - no in between. Move your car is one of my favourite modes on any pinball.

Cheers guys .

Didn't expect that much interest so quickly .. obviously a popular game here .

Must say I am VERY addicted to it atm.

Yes, Nock and Tony , The Creature toy is pretty cool.

Thanks so much for the tips Wotto ,  I sure need em and won't be telling my #1 competition (my daughter Jade, who as I type is out there thrashing Firepower again  :lol ).

Yeah Tony .. I like Move your car too and try my hardest to get max points on that while its running .

Gday Jday , yes, Creature lights up green, but with just a single lamp ... will have to do something about that .

You should put flashers in the pops while you are at it.

I recall I saw one with just GI added (not flashers) that I thought did the job pretty well of lighting up the otherwise dark area. These were wired with the other GI, so they varied with the normal GI (off and on for different modes), more like pop bumpers on games from that era

Looks really good , they light when a ball hits the bumper skirt . Currently has chrome bumper caps which I am going to replace with Teal, because I think Teal looks better + will let more light out from the bumpers.

I'll have to post a vid of this machine at some stage
