Jady, like yourself, I also have a Skateball.  Very first game I purchased and a blast to play.  I have never seen one of these for sale since I purchased mine on this very forum 2 years ago almost to the day.  This one was restored by Nino, and a beauty.

Another machine I was searching for and finally landed is a Bally Freedom (in this case, the SS version).  Again, I have never seen one of these for sale in Australia, and was fortunate to source this from Michael Shalhoub.  I played this heaps in my youth back in Canada.  I have a feeling that this game was not exported in large quantities to Australia.

1950 LINE UP by Genco... only 10 prototypes made.. all went to the scrap bar 2 that found their way to Mr Kordeks basement.. i have one.
1948 TRIPLE ACTION by Genco... again, 1 of 10 prototypes made before game went into production... these were used to iron out design faults etc, which is why mine has never worked in 60 odd years. Its now 99% working.

Phenomenal Gavin that you have these machines, actually almost unbelieveable.  With Steve's recent passing, these would have to be that more special for sure.

^&^ no wonder im unpopular noticed a few titles mantioned as rare I have screwed to my roof  ^&^

Rarest game I own by the numbers is MARATHON only 750 made back in 1955 so I'm sure there wouldn't be many left now.

Also empire strikes back with 350 made

Have a few others I class as rare but only because you rarely see them for sale like Elektra , Paragon and Rapid fire.

I also considered my jungle princess rare but no longer with 1600 made I think they were all sent to Australia there one on eBay everyother week  %.%

Godzilla - only 500 made 1998 Sega(and there were 2 x different models as well - First 50 had 2 x flipper buttons each side with added magna save magnets (which got dropped) Mine is the later, being one of the 450 with std flippers, but retained under playfield magnets.
hey brett,
I have the godzilla with the ball saves ,  they actualy opperate with normal coils that pop up a post at the top of the out lanes,  not magnets, it also has the ball save poper in between the flippers ,  this is activated when lit by pressing both ball saves together
other rarer pins i have in my collection,
Gottileb Lights Camera Action 1989
Gottileb Big House 1989
just got a Haunted house 1982  & a rareBally Safecracker ,with only 1000 made, cracker of a game... so to speak lol

Godzilla is excellent. A keeper for me.
VERY FAST. Green everything and see through green ramps are very nice.
When fully shopped, Godzilla is very nice to look at and play. Mine is very low usage. The dot matrix animations are cool with lots of missions. Shaker motor is great and the under playfield magnets make the ball fly everywhere on mine. (I think there were apx 3 slightly different versions of Godzilla-small underplayfield, and a few on top playfield mechanical differences etc).

Ball comes flying out of Godzillas mouth onto playfield, and there is a diverter inside the Godzilla head which people dont know either. The audio is very unique with fun noises of a pissed off Godzilla smashing along. Also, the audio has submarine loud ping noises which are unique to a pinball. Headbox shape again different.
Sega Super pops make the pop bumpers the best of any pinball ever (once u play a decent sega, u know what a difference their patented super pops make)

Overall, a bargain of a machine. I have never had anyone play it and ever say it wasnt a very very good machine.  ^^^

They're just games mate... for a while i was caught up in getting rare as possible machines... they cost a pretty penny to own and at the end of the day, i could own a 1948 TRIPLE ACTION that worked by buying another.. its rarity is neither here nor there.
The upright prototype is not a great player by any means, but it does have a lot of charm.. especially the scoring... it goes up to 999 on paper decalled reels. If you press RESET button it has to count down ALL 999 steps.. takes bloody ages and each time a number drops by one.. the bloody bell  goes TING!... But it is nice to know it came from Steves personal collection of rare stuff... not sure id ever sell it. Not because its only one of two, but because its something different in the collection and its nice to mix up the type of machine i reckon

Heaps of games are rare in New Zealand!
I had a  Williams Zodiac ( Prod 704)
There was a Gottlieb Gemini ( Prod 300 ) here but I think someone "re themed" it!
My games that are rare in NZ are
Centaur
Fathom
Elektra
Medusa
Devils Dare
Blackwater 100
Heavy Metal Meltdown
Night Moves
Cosmos
Hayburners 2
El Dorado
I have also secured a rare Gottlieb but alas it is sitting in Europe in storage at the moment.

I guess what I have had & sent to the dump would make you guys in Australia cry. 2 Spectrums junked, Asteroid Annie, & Paragon #1001 sold cheap (didn't like the color on backglass production sample). Guessing about 100+ em's & early Bally electronic pins which are my favorite sent to the dump. I use to get lots of pins, too much time to fix or poor condition then scrap them for a few parts. Probably bought 300+ pins the last 17 years. Now its not worth my while in eastern Canada to sell used or new pinball machines.
