Cabs been repainted but not that well the front especially looks a mess, no stencils used by the looks. Backglass got that 'leopard skin' look to it. Some dick put a post in between flippers. What's it worth I don't know, I wouldn'r pay more than $1500 even then I'd think about it. Still, I'm no expert.

Looks better than the other Star Trek that's on there for $4k+

$1500 to $2000

Remember, $2000 buys ALOT of excellent DMD titles today, Alot.

If u are a Star Trek Fan, and u wanted to add it to a collection with a Star Trek Next Gen and a Star Trek 25th sitting next to it, well then its worth what u feel to make the trilogy set. The machine is ONLY 34/35 years old so its got to have something not perfect. 35 years is a long time. Provided the boards are good and its all good on personal inspection, it looks good for a honest machine.  I dont think the gameplay will set the world on fire, but thats not the point with a pinny of that era.

Its on my "one day buy list" to make the trilogy as above, so i like the artwork on that machine. Looks OK for its age.

A fair effort, but some glaring mistakes. Paint job looks poor. Even though a camera may not represent the true colors, the orange is not consistent on the left side.

Legs are the wrong color. I just don't understand why this is the case on most "restorations" ?

Playfield is REALLY nice. Most have wear in front of the slings and near the saucer.

This one is probably worth $1500 - $1700. It is a GREAT player and Trekkies are happy to pay $2500 + for a nice example.

Definitely a nice looking PF (but a visual inspection would be the best).  What I don't like is the amount of paint lift with the backglass - the more you look, the more lifting you see.  All throughout TREK (especially to the left of the T), and lots of "lift channels" throughtout the bottom part.

I am going to guess that it will not get a bid.

Youll be hard pushed to find a STAR TREK BG without some lifting. Im pretty sure these were done with the same technique BALLY introduced with LOST WORLD in that its a whole sheet thats produced photographically. They dont hold up as well as a screen print

The seller bought this from me as an "as is" untested machine. The pin was very clean and had a great playfield. The backglass did have some delamination. The cab was sold in original condition and looked ok but he obviously has had it touched up.

Playfield looks very good . I've never noticed Spock and Kirk on the coin door before.

I also doubt it will get a bid at the starting price.

What happened?  Listing appears to have ended early, with the seller pulling the plug.

Also I was searching Star Trek on Pinpedia for past auction results, and I was surprised to see this pin was listed before with an apparent sale of $2,950 back in January.  The winning bid then (and there was only one bid) was from a buyer with a feedback of 2 http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p4340.l2565&rt=nc&item=200698280312.  Hard to say, could be legit, but who knows.
