"I know it has 3 flippers, kind of a reverse Tron layout. 2 ramps Pro, 2 1/2 ramps LE.

Something like this:  %$%

Thats interesting, love how this stuff appears - was this a recent find?

It was a screen grab from a few months ago from one of Stern's in house videos showing Borg and Gomez standing over the playfield layout with the caption, "Gomez gives Borg's new design seal of approval".

Being so long ago I've lost track of which vid it was - I'll see if I can dig it up.

Fingers crossed it is The Avengers and it turns out to be a good fast player.
The potential is certainly there with the theme and the amount of characters that's for sure.

I got a call today for a media screening of the Avengers on mon morning 16th April.
At last look there has been very good feedback from the intial test screenings even though at this stage this film runs over 2hrs and 30mins.
Final cut may be shorter but this looks like it will be the longest Marvel film of the series and rightly so...there is much to cover.
I hope they make the pin either as a Avengers film based pin or a Marvel superheroes pin using traditonal comic book art like JD.
I would prefer the comic book take on the pin but I can bet it will be film related and will be the Avengers if it gets done to maximsie exposure with the film.
Either way I'm happy IF they make it AND it is a good player.

Not nessasarily
Pinball 2000 was developed on the WPC platform

you may as well work on the playfield with a boardset that works, while the updated boardset is still being worked on

a guy in the know has just released this

"Borg's game production starts in about 30 days for the Pro (Europe). 2 ramps,
3 flippers, captive balls, multiple ball interaction toys, scoop, a magnet or two +, a VUK that serves somewhat of 2 different exits or speed you could say to start things off. Custom molded toys, nothing from Kmart. No drop targets. The upper right flipper is supposed to have 4 shots alone. The main toy is an all new mech that is fresh and never been done before. When people see the layout, it it will remind them of a reversed Tron kind of feel.

Pricing for Pro and LE back to Transformers flavor. The game will be very ball interaction heavy which is what I like. I'd say the LE (2 1/2 ramps) is looking at July release knowing the past timeline of games. Can't wait to see Magneto action  "

This guy who released this info also released the previous info so it seems he is a inside or has insider access. He was suggesting for a while that it was the Avenger but just recently trying to bum steer the view onto X-Men and a few off track options that just didn't seem right.

The guy said that a particular girl likes to put figures up and pictures up on the glass to confuse people of where the machine could be going in theme - she is known for it.

Some of the games John Borg has designed are -

1995-10 Apollo 13 Sega
2001-06 Austin Powers™ Stern
1994-07 Guns N' Roses Data East
1999 Harley-Davidson® Stern SS
???? Harley-Davidson® (3rd Edition) Stern
2001-01 High Roller Casino Stern
2008-04 Indiana Jones Stern Stern
2010 Iron Man Stern
2010 Iron Man Classic Stern
2010-08 James Cameron’s Avatar Stern
2010-12 James Cameron’s Avatar Limited Edition Stern
1993-06 Jurassic Park Data East
1993-10 Last Action Hero Data East
1995-01 Mary Shelley's Frankenstein Sega

1993-12 Tales from the Crypt Data East
1997-06 The Lost World Jurassic Park Sega
2011 TRON: Legacy Stern
2011 TRON: Legacy (Limited Edition) Stern
1996-04 Twister Sega

I have some of these games designed by Borg, and I really like apx half of the list he did. Some were a little lame because of title/topic but some I really like to play are * Last Action Hero, Frankenstein, Apollo 13, Guns N Roses, Star Wars, Lost World JP Sega, Tales from the Crypt, Iron Man, Tron Avatar, were all pretty good.
I am interested in this toy which supposedly has never been done before ?  !@#   that will be interesting !

Sounds like its going to be the Marvel Super Hero's Avenger to me.  X-Men etc definately too old hat too come to fruition i reckon.

'We shld soon start seeing some pictures IF production is starting. The reverse layout of Tron will be alot like Frankenstein which is basically Tron inverted sideways Right to Left and it has MANY shots and is a excellent game to play with heaps to keep you very busy. If the layout is like Franky, it will be a cracker of a game.   ^^^ ^^^

could it be the next clue - photo from stern's facebook page, maybe a marvel comic pin with avengers being the main focus. If Marvel could ride the coat of the movies but gets around some of the licence stuff just Marvel.

Amazing film, easily the best of all the MARVEL efforts by a long long way.
Insanely good fun with top notch perfomances from a stellar cast, it has a wonderfull sense of humor to combine with mind numbing action.
The 3rd act is HUGE...REALLY HUGE!
No spoilers, if you are a superhero fan you should get a BIG kick out of this movie. If not it is still a great popcorn movie.

Awesome CC, can't wait to see it, and hope the next pin from Stern is this and is even better than Iron Man and others.
