A thread on Pinside started by Gap is taking people's names for the next Stern Pinball to be made public at the end of the month:

"Fairly soon, toward the end of the month. hopefully. Playfield looks very cool and fast from what I could see of it."

"Smoother and faster than Tron from what I hear."

Swinksy, what does that mean, Gap/he is taking names. ? I didnt understand what that meant. Taking names to buy one or taking names to guess what the title is ? or taking names for something else.?  !@#

Resident Evil sounds so dam good. Avengers movie was mediocre so hoping pinny is much better.

Gap has a business selling pins located 20 minutes from Stern and has a bit of access to Stern. What he meant by his post is that anyone wanting to buy off him can register there name and they will be alerted of any info when deposits can be taken, when the next pin is advertised to dealers. He and some other dealers have a option of buying early at a much cheaper rate so it is worthwhile to buy in early through these guys. He said to buy a Tron LE saved people about $1500 if they bought in at first option.

It would be nice to be located near STERN in the USA to take up his offer. (If i lived near STERN I would go n work there for a few months)

Hopefully Bruce/AMD will have some super deals on the next few titles, espescially the PRO models around $5950.?
* IF it stayed that price it would be nice..

One of the big advantages for pinheads in the U.S. is that they have an abundance of Stern distributors who actually have to compete with each other for your pinball dollar.

Reading rgp posts, you have to chuckle when U.S. pinheads complain about the high price of the $6900US ACDC LTBR LE pin (or 4100 Pro version).

Have just seen the movie and I thought it was awesome. I wouldn't say I'm a huge Marvel fan as some of the movies over the years have been very hit and miss IMO, but this one has it all, capped off with a good balance of humour.
If done right this would make a very popular pin.
May even have the wife's blessing if the pin goes ahead because she loved the movie and I dropped a not so subtle hint about it (she loves Iron Man also). I got a response of "Maybe", rather than a straight out no, that's a big deal because I just can't convince her to get a pin of her own.....yet!

Goes to show how important the theme is to giving others the bug too.

Fair enough, you may just get your wish.
I could think of a lot better zombie titles to base it on than this yawnfest of series though.

Theme is up there but having said that I love Star Wars and I don't like the star wars pins.
Hate lotr as a theme and movie series and love the game. This could be the pinball to top all pinballs if done right.
Lets just hope they get thier shit together what ever they do. I am still waiting to see what they do, what it's like and if it stacks up and doesn't suck.
" maybe " is nearly a yes. *%*
