Game Reviews - Organised in Eras
« on: March 03, 2012, 06:01:10 PM »
Hi Nino / Nick

Suggestions for You

Game Reviews
What do you think of a dedicated section for Game Reviews that was multiple sections - 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90, 00's, 2010's.
It would be good as a resource for people to check out if contemplating a purchase, or for people wanting to leave some feedback of a game not listed.
Today I played a Transformer LE which was good and I know I could put it into the General but this gets massive - where a quick to find section would be good.

Subject Search
Was on Pinside on there forum and they have a optional alternative way to search - by way of manufacturer and once selected it re-arranged threads to the manufacturer.. If possible when a person starts a new topic you have your heading and then the story content, maybe a tick-able section - Stern, JJP, Williams, Bally etc so gives the ability for future threads to be re-arranged by subject in relation to a brand.

High Scores
Have a section for logging high scores as I believe more people would use it if they could find it. Could have one subsection for EM's, another for SS's, 3rd for DMD's and last one for lcd's and a moderator could keep a main list updated in each section - happy to help here.

What do you reckon?

Nino, could it go in the "Photo Gallery" section, ? given that photos will most likely accompany the review.

It would be good if the "GAME REVIEW" heading was added. I wanted to do/post a few reviews as well.

Perhaps alot of members would add to the section like Swinksy said.

A 'game review' section sounds like a good idea

I would not break it up into eras, as I do not think there will be that many reviews
but if people name the review clearly, Black Knight (Williams) 1980 then you will be able to find a review you are looking for

I think a detailed Game Review section is a great idea, not sure how many people will contribute, but worth a try.

We do have ipdb as a resource, but I would rather see people I know through the forum giving an opinion.

I am thinking separation into EM, SS and DMD might be worth considering?

Sorry - I missed this suggestion  @.@

I think it is a great idea worthy of it's own section. I'll discuss with Nick.
